Differing opinions aside, I think we can all agree that this game is being completely shat on by J-Stars Victory  ..

On another note though, has anyone else noticed how slow time is going when it comes to getting info on this game? I mean we've known about it for quite some time yet we are still within the same month of the game's official announcement. One would think with all the semi hype the game got, we would be bombarded to a degree with info but know we've gotten multiple game scans all saying the same shit, a shitty trailer and a below basic gameplay video.

The graphics keep getting brought because thats what has everyones attention at the moment especially the people who are against the game, if this makes since, we've seen way more graphics than gameplay for BOZ. Yeah we have a lengthy gameplay video but it didn't show anything (wow we can run on the ground now  ). I'm not gonna completely disregard this game as of yet but I will say that thus far it looks like shit imo from graphics to gameplay.

And I also like how some people who are defending the game are saying to the people who are against it "oh you can't have a valid opinion of the game until you've played it yourself". That honestly goes but so far and is hypocritical, its okay to think the game looks cool even though you haven't played it yourself but its not ok to think the game looks like shit? I guess we're all wrong for thinking JSVV looks awesome even though we haven't played it yet.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Hey. Best thing since slice butter xD.

I'm on the neutral side. I'm pointing out the flaws and the good things. Seems fair IMO. Through I said much more flaws than positives. I'm pretty sure people who saying you can't judge till you play it are the same people who is praising the game and thought Ultimate Tenkaichi was epic based on the pictures.

Yet you complain about the graphics of this game.
I mean you guys are acting like there absolutely NOTHING wrong with the game graphically speaking so I had to say that isn't the case. Certainly not a deal breaker on the game.
By you guys are you including me? Did my last post not say I spoke about both pos and negs of the game. My negatives lasted MUCH longer than the positives. Which was only ONE thing. Plus "you guys" implies the entire topic.
The kind of mod I am talking about is not a simplistic mod like a color change of clothes or a new character, it's essentially an entirely new game built up from a game engine made in the 90s so yeah there was a TON of coding. A ton. And I was saying how is it that this mod looks better than the newly released game, it's sad but true ya know?
I DIDN"T know which type of mod you was talking about. I thought you meant the most popular type of mos. My mistake. You should have been more specific at first.
I wasn't stating anything as fact, you were the only person who stated I was which I kind of dont know how that's possible.
You kinda were. The way it was worded. Maybe not your intentions. Plus this kinda was worded as fact.
Stop fronting, graphics do matter and everyone knows it.
I wasn't being an asshole, all I said was something stupid about your grammar and in context, it was only because you made a comment about the way I typed my opinion which was also rude.
Grammar insults in a discussion is being a jackass. Me saying you're stating opinions as facts is not rude. If I said your opinion doesn't matter then that's rude.
But seriously, the mod. Do you understand what I meant now? The mod is like an all new game and it looks great. It is 3rd person large maps exactly like this game. You can fly around, there are team deathmatches, or battle totaled just like this game but the mod actually looks stunning and it's made by fans. That's why I am so affected by these graphics. If fans can make something this incredible, professionals should be able to do ten times better not ten times worse.
I know about the game and didn't find it all that good. The graphics wasn't all that to talk about either. Just cause you're professional doesn't make you better than non professionals. I've seen many fan art better than the professional art. Hell some professional singers can't sing wortha damn and yet they're out singed by fans. Professional just mean official or popular IMO. Not the quality.
it was called for anyways.
Not really.
Then this guy comes along and writes down what I said and you suddenly see what I mean? What.
See what you mean? I seen what he meant. He explained it better.
My longer post wasn't disrespectful. None of my posts were disrespectful.
Everyone is blindly trying so hard to defend the game they don't even want to address it.
Stop fronting, graphics do matter and everyone knows it.
that's the excuse for why it looks like shit
how bad it looks and blah blah blah.
I'm sick of their bullshit.
that has literally nothing to do with anything I said.
Moving on...it's 2013.
And you should say sorry for the lack of grammatical skills you possess however I am impressed I must say at how you were able to write so much and say absolutely nothing.
I already explained why I complain about these graphics.
Now you know what mod I meant.
I wasn't being an ass at all. I insulted your grammar because you said "and you should be saying sorry for stating your opinion as fact" when I all I typed was "sorry for writing so much" That IS rude to say especially out of nowhere.

No, that logic is flawed. Yes, I am pretty sure a professional gaming company with the DBZ license and years and years a d years of experience should be able to be better than a team of five people who modded Half Life 1 am I right?

Way to take all of those quotes out of context to make it look like they were directed at people
Here they are in context...

The first was me talking about how everyone doesn't address the negatives only the positives
The second was not directed at anyone either and all I said was graphics do matter, even though some pretend to act like it doesn't.
Third was about the game's graphics. Also not directed at anyone. I guess since it had a curse word in it you thought that would be disrespectful?
Full sentence was "tell me about how it's because of a new developer and blah blah blah" in case you didn't know blah = etc.
Full sentence "I'm tired of Namco and quite frankly I am sick of their bullshit"
Don't see how that's rude.
Full sentence. "Moving on (as in moving on from whatever I was talking about prior, being used as a transition like anyway is used) it is 2013 so we expect better graphics"
That last one was retaliation of you trying to insult me. Already gone over it.

JeffJarrett wrote:"shiny", "bright", etc. really the character models aren't related to the colors and special light effects the developers chose.
We're talking about the shapes and resemblace to the actual characters. And Battle of Z's characters aren't great at all.
Exactly. The models refer to the shape not the lighting. And the modems are being done in their own style in case you didn't know. Way to leave out the awesome Piccolo Model. You might also be happy to know the models shown well most are not the finals. They are redoing them.
What I don't like is their noses but then again I do because the style is different.

Out of no where? You was stating your opinion =/. So I commented on the way you stated it. Not rude. I didn't even complan about you writing a lot. Offensively impolite or ill-mannered:

50/50. I understand that professional should be great and better than fan-made; But that's not always the case. Once again many fan things are better than professional things. Some fans sing covers better than the original singer. Some fans can code like pros. They just doesn't do it professionally. Professional in my opinion is just a title. Just a quality.

The way you wrote it. Lots of my post have swears in them.
I am sick of their bullshit
Disrespectful because they're testing something new. Not saying I'm defending the game. But testing something new isn''t them bullshitting it's a test. If it fails they'll move on. If not then they will improve.

Wasn't a insult at you. I was telling you to word them better. You just pulled a common internet insult. Hardly a retaliation at all.

Edit: This is going in 360 degrees. No where at all. We're just repeating ourselves. Let's just ignore each other. For the best.

Yes it was rude. All i said was again sorry for writing so much and you reply with you should be sorry for stating an opinion as fact. That is rude. I dont get why its such a big deal anyway you guys flipped when i insulted your grammar.

No. That comparison doesn't make too much sense. There could be a singer who is better than a professional so that's your example? No. When a company has a decade of experience with professional designers and money. Lets not forget the money. And resources. This company, with all the money and resources, and paid professional game designers who went to school and studied coding should totally be okay with being worse than five random fans of DBZ who made a mod on a two decade old engine? Twenty. Year. Old. Engine. Five random guys. And you say it's totally okay for these fans to create better material in their FREE TIME than a company that pays their workers to create this stuff. I don't think so. If that's not sad I dunno what is.

As for the quotes all were taken out of context but we are getting off topic here. My point is no it is nowhere near okay to have fans produce something better than a company with more resources, employees, and experience on a worse engine.

What are you talking about? No one has said this, so i'm not seeing your point ? You can rag on it for it's lack of offline multiplayer, not like the look of the gameplay. Be dissapointed it may not have DB/GT characters, or the possibility of less content than RB2 based on the Treevax interview. etc All valid opinions, and you don't have to play it to have those views.

But when you completely deem that the game is trash , and continue to reiterate it as fact and state that anyone who defends it or likes it is in denial or simply making excuses, then there is quite an issue.

TheGmGoken you should state your opinion in one section. Don't cut and make response for every single sentence if you don't agree with the user who wrote it, it doesn't serve you.

About the graphics, I also think they don't matter if the gameplay and content are great. But from what we know, there won't be GT nor DB characters, the story was modified for team battle purpose (Krillin fighting Frieza along with Super Saiyan Goku on Namek), Kid Gohan fires Healing Ki Blasts, one player offline. Nobody has ever played the game, but from what we've seen, it looks similar to an early Spike game but with bad animation (Goku's flight, Tien missing his target while interfering, camera doing strange changes and characters randomly appearing out of nowhere when doing team combo on an opponent sent flying away), no combo such as Tri-Attack or Heavy Crush, and no special Rush Attacks (such as Goku's Meteor Smash) shown yet.

So have any of you played the actual game to know how the actual graphics, gameplay, music, story, details and etc are like? Please do come forward, I'd really like to know more about BoZ from someone who knows about it. If not then it's absolutely pointless to complain about something you've got no knowledge about regardless of the screens and videos that are everywhere.

IF DigitalFoundry got their hands on Battle of Z then we could definitely know specifically how the graphics look in reality because they aim for 1:1 results.

Battle of Z would have been better on the next-gen consoles because it's aiming to almost break the limitations of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, as for PS Vita it'll be a downgraded version more than likely.

P.S.: Please don't compare wrestling games (better to compare it to Tenkaichi Tag Team on the PSP) to Battle of Z, that's really silly not to mention that in BoZ you're in a bigass arena, fighting giant enemies, getting thrown a ton of metres away and loads of other shit. Do wrestling games do this? Nope.

You really hate wrestling and hate it even more when people compare DBZ to it. We get it.

Nope. Wrestling games being compared to the DBZ games is just an idiotic comparison.

Tell me this, are DBZ 3D fighting games based in a stage or a cage?

FYI, I really enjoy WWF on the Nintendo 64.

All DBZ fighting games are based in a cage. They're just invisible walls at the edges of stages. Four walls surrounding ya'.

Those are pretty big cages, then.

If any of you want to compare Battle of Z to other games, then it's these ones:

Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team
Dragon Ball: Zenkai Battle Royale
J-Stars Victory Vs.

I agree. And just so you guys know, I don't care about graphics if the gameplay is solid, but it doesn't look to be solid, therefore, I have an issue. From what we know and see at this point, BoZ doesn't look all that impressive. The story was screwed over like I said (but he somehow disagrees) How the heck is Krillin (the very reason Goku went SSJ mind you) fighting with SSJ Goku? Maybe Gohan died I don't know if it is a what if or not. I saw recolors of like 5 Frieza Soldiers (if you are going to be that desperate to make us your play style, don't even add the level. It looks choppy at this point in time and for those of you saying don't judge until the full game is out, the reason for demonstrations is to show what we are going to be working with, yes? And since that is all we have, that's all we can use to judge this game with at the moment.
As for GmGoken, sure ignore me (we all know people who say that actually don't do it) you can ignore me because I made points and you disagreed. All you did anyone was try to focus the debate on whether or not I was rude to you. Troll.

Haha. This guy. Are you trying to take my posts as personally as possible or something. Only you, and two others are getting reeeeaalllyy butthurt about me disagreeing with you. Let it go. As for the comment on not judging the game, where have you been? Many people are replying with this statement. SparkyPantsMcgee told me this earlier and the kaiboxfan just said it again today. Some even state this, then go on to praise the game. The user was just recognizing the irony and hypocritical part of that. And for the record I never said I deem it as trash, I said a fanmade mod can do it better, so if the professionals can't do better than the fans I have an issue. I even said I was buying the game to give it a shot. Why would I buy something I think is trash?

When you were needed before to settle down the argument of people here about the graphics you weren't anywhere and now just because I posted a bunch of images (each in a spoiler box) that's something worth complaining?

It's not about praising. It's about knowing the facts of the product, which you don't know unless you had the chance to experience it.

I'm pretty sure he just wanted to know what the point was of you posting unnecessary boxarts when you stated the name. He also has another point. DBZ games are also in cages, just big ones. That being said I agree with you that it is just dumb to compare it to a DBZ game. Wrestling games don't have so much going on and the arena is smaller. It would be better to compare it to a game with aspects similar to DBZ games.

It's not about praising. It's about knowing the facts of the product, which you don't know unless you had the chance to experience it.
I didn't say you were praising it, I said some do. And the expo is made for a demonstration. Something we can judge so we can expect what's next. People saw the gameplay demo of Thief and they hate that. They are already deeming that game bad and they haven't seen anything but a trailer and some minutes of gameplay. We are supposed to judge. They put it out there so we as fans wouldn't be in the dark, not so we can look at it then ignore it.
