What happened to the viewers of the 21st/22nd/23rd TB?
What happened to the viewers of the 21st/22nd/23rd TB?
I feel they would be scoffing at Mr. Satan if they were around. It would have been nice to have more people remember those times instead of the whole world buys what Mr. Satan does.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Toriyama just get rid of them for comic relief. Or the following crises probably warped their minds.
The world's greatest.

Maybe they tried but were shunned by the overwhelming majority of Satan believers so they gave up. Without any proof (since the Z Fighters never came forth to counter Mr. Satan's claims), those who remembered the old tournaments had to remain silent about their doubts about Mr. Satan's claims or else they would be shunned as crazy conspirators.

I'd say after the giant monkey in the 21st, all the fighters being tracked down and killed after the 22nd, and Piccolo blowing up the ring in the 23rd, most of them decided not to come back. If I went to a boxing match, and one of the fighters took out a bomb and blew up the place, I probably wouldn't return either.

They was scarred shitless. But IMO It kinda like wrestling(Damn I've been using that and applying it DBZ lately).
1st - 24th(Satan first win) was REAL fighting similar to how the sport(Not sport entertainment) wrestling is.
25 - present. It became Sport Entertainment. The stage was more...party like. It was more of a gimmick if anything. Only it was more realistic. When the Z fighters came it became scripted. The action was real but the ending was already planned. It became more...PG.
The hardcore fans left and the casual fans became more populated. With the only Smark(Unlike real wrestling entertainment) was the Announcer. I named him Phillip. "Phill" would cheer the Z fighters(Indie Stars or respectable wrestler) and the other would Cheer Mark Satan(John Cena).

Piccolo Daimao's minions stole a list of the guests as well as the fighters, and went to town.

Screw the guys who saw the tournament, where were the guys who saw King Piccolo take over the planet with his super powers and blow up a whole city?

Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.
