I'd at least read a few pages into it before making that call.Though, given the current track record of these specials, I can see why you feel that way.Hellspawn28 wrote:Ugh, not another special. I will likely skip out this one.

So apparently Gast can outright nullify Buu's absorption process.

Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Talk about plot device. I honestly can say. This most likely ruin the chapter for me. This chapter has been fucked up a lot. IMO one of the worst.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
You know something? I like this. Powers being used to solve a problem in a way that isn't just about raw physical might? A Namekian proving to have useful powers at a time when the physically mighty Saiyans are helpless? Hell, a Namekian actually not forgetting he has powers the Saiyans don't? These are the kinds of things that Dragon Ball itself sorely lacked in later sagas. I really don't care if Gast stretches the rules of Namekian fusion (it wasn't exactly well defined to begin with). He's still a great addition and this is a good way to shock both Buu and the readers.

Huh...well that's...unexpected. I hope there's some explanation, no matter how bullshitty, for this, rather than just letting it hang there as something that Gast can just...do for no reason.
I do appreciate it in that respect though, yeah. Definitely needed after the disappointment of Kuririn's loss in his match.TonyTheTiger wrote:You know something? I like this. U18 Saiyans was doing just fine. Most of the people was non saiyans having trouble. So it's kinda just like DBZ. Not a namek or Saiyan your hopeless.the physically mighty Saiyans are helpless?
Nameks were always helpful. Boo Ac even Saiyans were bullshit. Only Halfies were important. These are the kinds of things that Dragon Ball itself sorely lacked in later sagas.
Shock the readers? People predicted this. He's still a great addition and this is a good way to shock both Buu and the readers.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Sure. But still, isn't "I have telepathy just because" a Dragon Ball staple?
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
It's a cool power, but I wish he did it after Buu had a run of the tournament for a while. It was a fun possibility but now it got put away before it even got off the ground.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
If its the latter than Imma continue reading. Because I'm one of those readers who complain all the time and still read it despite it xD. I don't like DBM but I do find it a great fanfiction. But seriously if it's the latter I'm going to be upsetKamiccolo9 wrote:Agreed.TonyTheTiger wrote:You know something? I like this. Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I was kind of hoping for a Boo Games though; just so we can get the Gohan vs. Cell rematch.

Vegito should come back and team up with Buu.

I'd enjoy it if it had to do with him being a Namekian and his magical namekian powers are greater than boo's magic or absorption powers but not necessarily his ki

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Given what Gast has said previously regarding Vegetto's power, I think this will be the case.Kakarot88 wrote:I'd enjoy it if it had to do with him being a Namekian and his magical namekian powers are greater than boo's magic or absorption powers but not necessarily his ki
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I like this, Buu is such a overpowered piece of crap because of all of his crazy powers and he apparently rivals SSJ2 Vegetto, so he needs someone to keep him in line. The most annoying part of the Buu saga is how he would constantly regenerate even when it seemed like he was screwed. At least if Vegetto becomes the villain then he won't be nearly as difficult to defeat.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Another crazy twist would be for all the dragon balls to be destroyed so Gast makes a new ULTIMATE Set or some other dues ex machina
