I'm ok with Gast beating Buu (though I find it kind of odd) but it shouldn't be that easy. Don't know yet if that really is the end and if Gast can hold Buu like that or kill him but it kind of looks like he can. And to me that just seems kind of anti-climatic. They give us this big build up and make Buu seem so powerful and then we he starts taking down everybody at the tournament and show pages and pages of everybody getting caught or barely holding him off they just go hey guess what, you know that guy that's been here the whole time but we haven't shown in a while....well he can stop Buu in a instant...he just didn't feel like it at first.

Well, why is it Bullcrap?
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Too the people in the last page, read on why how he picks Bulma in the U16 novel (I think it was early on as I didn't read to far into it). Maybe that way won't count when we see a manga version.
I'm assuming its a special power like magic or some sort of psychic power. That falls in line with what he stated regarding Vegetto and his fight with Cell Jr.

But to have it at this level. Maybe if he were fleshed out more it would make more sense. This psychic thing could turn into another XXI routine people seem to hate.

Why? Babibi is a weakling and he can seal Buu just by speaking a few magic words. Gast is a strong warrior who so happens to be a concentrated fusion of all the Namekian people of his universe, a people who are deeply magical and possess powerful abilities.

Good point. But this looks like paralysis which can be overcome if your significantly more powerful than the one using it. We don't know how strong Gast is.

It makes sense too since Gast is one of the only fighting competitors that Majin Buu would never have encountered in his universe!!!

Sorry for my poor English if that is not clear!
Considering Boo absorbed that guy's armor which telekinesis doesn't work on.
