Awsomeness of the trailer and this game aside, I would actually be okay if the game only had the main protagonist from each series playable it would allow room for more diverse characters. I want them to announce Yusuke before they announce Vegeta, Freeza or Orochimaru or Makoto Shishio..

If they added Shishio, this game would be an instant buy for me, regardless of if I had a clue what was going on or not. Especially if it had Freeza as well.
Reenacting the Trunks slicing up Freeza scene using Shishio's Homura Dama would be awesome.

I feel the same way. I'd love to see more different Jump characters announced before any other DBZ characters. Just remembering characters from Jump Ultimate Stars Stars that could possibly be in makes me excited. Yugi Moto, Kenshiro, Yusuke :D

What do you have to do to your PS3 or PS4 to play them?
Have a link to a site you've used?

(First to answer this and gets me to import the game gets a nice reward.)
1. On a website like Ami Ami, Nippon Yassan, or Play-Asia.

2. It's currently impossible to answer that question as we don't know the game's MSRP. Unlike in North America, there's no industry wide pricing scheme in Japan. An HD game can cost anywhere between $40 (first party content) - $90 (big budget third party game) and that's without adding shipping costs (which varies on location, and shipping speed) and potential retailer markup. I'd suggest using Ami Ami or Nippon Yassan instead of Play-Asia as they typically adhere closer to the MSRP where as Play-Asia likes to make a little extra.

3. This game probably won't work on PS4 due to that platform's lack of hardware PS3 backwards compatibility. It might be available through Gaikai streaming but as PS4 isn't out I cannot say what the steps to making that work would be. If it's available through Gaikai that might even be restricted to just Japanese users. I simply cannot say.

As for PS3 and Vita you'd just pop in the copy of the game and boot it up like any other. Just be advises that Japan uses the circle button for confirmation prompts instead of the cross button like in the west.

If you're willing to wait the game might get a Hong Kong release. It's no less legitimate than a Japanese copy, but it would likely cost you a lot less. Unfortunately Hong Kong releases are often released a few months after the Japanese one, and it's often iffy if a game will receive a release there as they often come out without warning.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

I'm of the mind that I don't want a ton of characters from any one show too, because I want as many series represented in this as possible. I mean, if the roster of the game is going to be a small...12, 16, 20-something or so, then I'd want just the main heroes of a bunch of different series. If it were in the higher 50-ish range (which I'd guess is probably pretty unlikely), I'd still probably only want like...3 characters per series for some of them. The main character, a supporting hero, and the series main and/or most iconic villain - so for Dragon Ball, maybe just have Goku, Piccolo, and Freeza.

Oh, also, in addition to wanting Yusuke and Wingman in this, I'd love to have Arale in a game again. She could represent Dr. Slump, so more Toriyama without it being two Dragon Ball characters. :P

Anyone else noticed that Super Saiyan Goku has a white aura in the game (that seems to be active all the time)?

Isn't the aura in the manga white?

Exactly. They seem to be following the manga on some details.

I'm seriously hoping they include Yami Yugi in this. It was fun playing as him in the DS JUMP games, but I don't know how well his attacks could be mirrored in a third dimensional field.

Yay! I was really hoping for Yusuke but I had my doubts since I thought Gon would be the sole representative for Togashi. Glad to see both make it in.

So, were do these guys come from again?

Gon comes from Hunter X Hunter and Yusuke from YuYu Hakusho. Both are manga by Yoshihiro Togashi, who is the husband of Sailor Moon's author, Naoko Takeuchi.

Yusuke's inclusion is setting me over the edge to import this game. Gokuu doesn't really excite me like he used to.

Anyone else hoping for a shit ton of alternate costumes?

Really good to see Yusuke get in, nice to see they remember him. They pretty much got all I want, though having Yoh Asakura from Shaman King would be really cool.
