And this is why your so awesome 8)

It hurts so much to watch Linda Young. One of my favourite villains if not my favourite Dragon Ball villain is bastardized and replaced with some old woman who tells terrible jokes and says some of the most awkward dialogue. I 100% agree with you.
I could almost, almost, tolerate her, but when Freeza starts hitting on Goku (you know what I'm talking about) it was too much. It made me think of someone's grandmother flirting with the kids down the street.

You did that on purpose. You knew I'd be tempted to watch.
Good job.

Now I'm gonna go roll over into a fetal position and cry for a little while.

Dr. Machismo wrote:Linda Young's really shouldn't be a gender confuser. Freeza is an alien, so why should you expect an male alien to be anything like a human male? Her voice doesn't sound like a human male's ... but she's voicing an Alien.
Goku, Piccolo, Vegeta, Dabura, Buu, Babidi and almost every alien in DBZ sounds like male and female, even Cold and Cooler sound like guys, there was no reason for Frieza to sound the way Linda Gray did.

I really don't care who's voice sounds better for Frieza. But I definitely like LK's voice for him better. It doesn't matter if it was a girl voicing Frieza, it just wasn't fitting to me. Always sounded like he had something stuck in his throat.

Hmm...by the way, I absolutely loved that whole solid minute of callbacks to the old Z dub. The one where Vegeta said "there's more than one way to reach SSJ", the "pushups n' situps" line, the exchange between Tien and Vegeta...I thought that was a nice bone to throw to dub fans :D !

Personally, I'd have tried to get Malcolm McDowell for the part.

Because before Christopher Ayres came along, LK was the best interpretation of Freeza the English speaking world had ever had. I do not say this as his director, I do not say it as his friend, I do not say it as a fan of his: I say that as a fan of DragonBall Z. I love LK's performance as Freeza, top to bottom. He's incredibly talented.

So you prefer LK or Chris Ayers? Do you mean before Chris came?

Also you guys are getting close to 1 million. Only 68,662 subs to go as of what I see now.

You struck gold with him. That's the best interpretation of Freeza I've ever seen; he's hilarious and terrifying at the same time.

I'm saying, Christopher Ayers is the best Freeza.

Before him, it was LK. =3

Either way they are both brilliant and talented. It's sad Freeza is dead now and doesn't make another appearance until Other World filler. I'd give LK the funnier Freeza though for obvious reasons.

That's precisely why ordinary men pursue the concept of perfection, it's infatuation. But ultimately I have to ask myself "What is the true meaning of being perfect?" and the answer I came up with was nothing. Not one thing. The truth of the matter is I despise perfection! If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! Scientist's agonize over the attempt to achieve perfection! That's the kind of creatures we are!
