Characters you wished were stronger

Basically I saw this piece of fanart and it got me thinking that I wished Roshi was a lot stronger than he was, maybe to a point that was never actually defined in the series but was presumably quite high.

I also wanted Tenshinhan to have somehow gotten a lot stronger too, when he took on Cell for me was one of my favorite moments in that arc, it would've been awesome to see him have tapped into some kind of transformation or power (with his jagan eye).

And finally I was incredible let down by East Kaioshin as I think a lot of fans were, he was introduced as a mysterious force and I'd hoped he'd be able to fight on par with the Saiyans at least.

I don't have a problem with the Saiyans being the strongest characters. What does kind of irk me is that human and other characters are SO FAR BEHIND that they can't make battles very interesting.

When the Z fighters fought against Nappa before Goku arrived, I thought that was the most perfect way of handling weaker characters. Many times it's hinted that they had the strength to finish Nappa off, but because of bad luck they simply couldn't do it. And the fight was well choreographed, very interestingly drawn out, as well as being full of plot points.

Cell Juniors, on the other hand...

King Cold. If you take him out of th series nothing is effected. Freeza's minions could have repaired him and the plot remains the same. Honestly think King Cold should had lasted longer and be stronger. Not a Freeza v2 though. Maybe Goku could had arrived and fought King Cold. Just like he introduced Kaioken in Saiyan Arc they could have usd King Cold as a jobber to show Goku new moves. Through it'll still the spotlight from Trunks . Also wish Dr.Gero was stronger. That's enough for the bad guys.

I do certainly wish there was less of a gap between the Saiyans/Half-Saiyans and everyone else. That's partially why I wish Oob would get used better in something already, he's got all the potential to be a human that's easily on par with them.

Speaking of that. Why haven't we seen any OOb what ifs in DB heroes or in Video games? Hell Oob is barely in video games.

I would eat my hat for a non-GT Majoob (Majin Oob, maybe? Whatever the hell he'd be named). I've always really liked that fusion because they would "complete" each other and be incredibly strong. I think it also closes out Majin Boo story nicely.

He beat a weak, tired, & hunger Goku and past the preliminaries on the Budokai. It's sad that's his best feat....=(

Didn't Piccolo become stronger than Goku(Base)? and could rival SSJ? But I'm sure there would't be a good reason for Piccolo to be stronger than SSJ2 and SSJ3.

I would like Piccolo to be stronger. Its a sad day when one of the most calculable and cool fighters is reduced to baby sitting.

It would also be nice to give the humans something to do. Just give them minions or something they can fight. Maybe they can use Kaio-ken or could fuse to try and hold their own against tougher enemies.

Tenshinhan: he was such an interesting character already and coming out of Dragon Ball it would have been cool to see him be able to actually to some useful shit like he did in Saiyan Arc.

I think Raditz was fine where he was at otherwise Goku and Piccolo might have lost. And I'm sure he was big help on the team, I don't think his power level was too far from Nappa.

If he TRUELY failed at life, he WOULDN'T have been GOOD at ANY sports in the first place....Martial Arts, Baseball, not even catch...and Bulma would hate him so much in the first place, not even bothering to date him for fifteen years....I have seen true losers elsewhere in OTHER FANDOMS...

That aside, I wished he and the other humans were still useful and STRONGER....Especially Tenshinhan, he had so much potential and he just became a useless extra who got knocked out by chopsticks in the Battle of Gods movie...I HATED how Toriyama made them into weak extras...Lunch's crush, #18's husband and Bulma's former boyfriend should have GOTTEN THE SAME TREATMENT as Goku and the others....

Heck, Dragonball is my favourite out of the three series because the Humans were not fodder for Frieza, Cell, etc...

Humans aside, I also wish Gohan had more potential in the Buu saga, it would have been nice to see him fuse with Goku.

Tenshinhan is one of my favorite characters in the entire series. A true martial artist in every way. I hate how he was made out to be so weak after fighting Nappa during the Saiyan arc. He's one of the cooler-looking character designs and deserved to have at least one more power-up to surpass all other Earthlings. It would've been awesome to see him take on Cell and Buu...even to just by some time for Goku or whoever.
