Some being : Pikkon's theme, SSJ3 Asension, Super Namek,Nail's Gift, Android 19's theme (Electronic Cicus), Garlic Jr. Theme, Trunks Arrives, King Cold theme and a lot more.
Are there any instrumentals of Bruce Faulconer anyone likes?
Maybe it has something to do with me not listening to any of the Japanese soundtrack but man I love Faulconer's work. He puts so much emotion in every scene of every episode. It really makes me feel for the characters. So as you can tell I love all of his work.

Uhh, yeah I have no idea where this post should belong, and I don't think that the news was worth having it's own thread.
I found just about every bgm Dragonball/Z/GT disc there was today, and they are not bootlegs, or fakes of any kind. I shit my pants when I saw them. I checked out the prices, it was 8 bucks per disc complete with disc with cover art.
*drools, and, err is it worth it?
I'm sorry, but I had to share this news with the great members of this forum

Are you sure about that? I've bought from SakuraMedia plenty of times before and they're store is rife with bootlegs, especially they're DB music. And even if they aren't bootleg, I wouldn't go calling that place the "best source for imported Japanese goods", unless by that term you mean, "imported bootleg goods". I swear a good 50% of their store is bootlegs.>> Their online store actually has a subsection for their bootleg DVDs and CDs, masking what they are by calling the section "imports".Snail wrote:I found them in a mall in Burnaby, B.C. Canada. In a store named Sakura Media, might I add, the best source for official, imported goods from Japan. I'm going back to buy all of discs. Sweetness.
EDIT: I just went to their site and checked in the vague hopes that I'm wrong this time. From what I can see, all of their DB CDs are *still* bootlegs, including the BGM ones.

Well if you can look on the CDs and tell me what company it says, I can tell you if they're bootleg or not actually.
Oh and I forgot to mention, the fact that they're only for eight dollars a piece, virtually garuantees they're bootlegs. Official CDs will run you at least 40 to 50 dollars.

Why yes, I do. Themes like New Earth Music, Grand Kai Rocks, Vegeta's Theme, SSJ3 Ascension are all great. Are there any instrumentals of Bruce Faulconer anyone likes?
Actually I kind of used this thread as an excuse to post something >_>
Usually goes by "Kevtrev" elsewhere online.

Oh wow...I've been looking for the last few weeks at what this song was. I heard it during the Cell death, then again when Gohan went SSJ2 at the tournament, so I wanted to know what it was. I was watching Goku's Assassin just now, and heard it again when Trunks fired a blast into Gero's lab. I never noticed it being played in half of that list. I guess I never paid attention, but I'm glad I know what the name of it is now. Thanks.Conan the SSJ wrote:Indeed, and it only played on rare occasions, especially when the dub came to the Buu arc, let's see:Super Sonic wrote:The best of his I would have to say IMO would be "Ginyu Transformation". That was the ultra-dramatic music that would play whenever something big would go down.
1: When Ginyu first changed bodies with Goku.
2: When Ginyu-in-Goku re-exchanged bodies with Goku-in-Ginyu.
3: When Ginyu switched bodies with the Namkeian Frog.
4: When Ginyu-in-Bulma tried switching bodies with Piccolo, but ended back up in the Namekian Frog.
5: When Freeza was finally defeated by SSJ Goku
6: When Android 17 killed Dr. Gero.
7: When Trunks attempted to destroy the Androids with Gero's lab.
8: When Cell damn nearly killed Piccolo.
9: When Gohan first tried going SSJ in the Room of Spirit and Time, during his flashback.
10: When SSJ2 Gohan finally killed Cell.
11: When Gohan went SSJ2 at the 25th Tenkaichi Budokai.
12: When Kid Buu destroyed Earth with Gohan and the others.
13: When Goku launched the Ultimate Genki-dama against Kid Buu.
I think that's all of the times it was used, too bad GT and the redub have avoided it entirly, I would of killed to hear it when Raditz and Goku were impaled.

And you just also broke the rules by posting that obnoxious loop image.chibi_goten wrote: Hey raz1337, welcome to the forum. I'm afraid necroposts are a big no,no though. This thread is almost half a year old and you haven't really contributed anything to it really.

Mr. Faulconer's synth beats are top notch. He definitely knows how to work the synthesizers. I also like what he does with the various pads and sweeps. Sometimes they sound eerie, sometimes mysterious and other times they sound ....just cool. Another area where Bruce shines is in the drum percussions he chooses. I can bob my head to most of them.
I always loved that triumphant yet evil music that would play when Babidi was around. It played mainly before Buu was let out, when we'd see him in his spaceship looking down at the heroes with his crystal ball.
All of Cell's music was awesome. The music that played after he died was eery; it was serene, yet "empty."
The Majin theme songs are good too, like the one that plays when Buu is around. I like the one that plays after Vegeta knocks out Goku, and the one when Fat Buu is using his roll of fat to tie Vegeta up.
The Ginyu Force theme is cool too. It sounds all epic. I like the one called "Goku volunteers Gohan," too. That plays when he's picking Gohan to fight Cell. It's short but sets the mood well.
Oh! And Gotenks' theme when he is born is awesome. It's the SSJ3 music, except better. Heavier.
Freeza's Death is great, too. That's the one that played when Goku was talking to Gohan before he teleported Cell away. "I'm proud of you, my son."
Oh, and one of my all time favorites is that "tick tock" song that plays right before something awesome happens. Like when Super Buu gives Goku five seconds to choose somebody to fuse with as he cracks his knuckles, or when Piccolo is stalling Buu to the Time Chamber.

The only jingle of his I didn't like was that ambient one during the Buu saga...very annoying. Everything else was fine though, as I remember it at least. I'd have to go back and listen to some of it.
I think it really made a distinction between the English and Japanese versions, and though I'm not really "for" the updating of shows, it made it feel a little more current, and less like an 80's cartoon.
Cell's theme music was the best, though. It fit his personality well; almost gave me shivers when I heard it. I remember I used to have the techno remix of it. Still do, actually. Good stuff.

I never liked the "insane clown music" and the stuff that played when it was supposed to be funny.
Or the music would be doing a great job of building up tension and then all of a sudden it would break out into these random, jarring guitar strums.
