Don't forget the eyebrows. But yea this is really just a re-color of Base Goku. 1st game and they're already lazy xD. I wonder if it was because a skinny SSG would look weird on this engine and graphic styles. Imagine if the skinny SSG on this graphic style. This...wrong to look at. So it might have been best to re-color it. Even though they could have made it less ripped than Goku and that would have done justice. Ignoring SSG for a moment. Anyone else thinks Future Trunks, Kid Trunks(If he's on the game), Goten(Same as Kid Trunks), Gotenks, Fat Boo, and Imperfect - Semi Perfect Cell are going to look weird as fuck with these graphics?

Actually, I think the SSJ God Goku looks a bit less buff than the game's regular Goku. The thing is, the game's regular Goku is so buff that the less buff version (SSJ God) ends up being as buff as the anime's regular Goku (if this makes sense xD).
As for less bulky characters, just look at Kid Gohan.

Something is not right. I don't know what it is but just something does't look right.

Here a comparison. Not the best looking one but here it is. SSG GOku buff vs Regular Goku Buff.
Yeah he looks slightly less buffer. Noticeable? Not to all people. Should it be more skinny? Hell yea.

Hair/Eye/Eyebrow color is the only thing that changes with SSJG, sans the muscular size. And that would require an entirely different model. It's not that they were too lazy to make one, it just seems that SSJG will be an in-game transformation. And to have one Goku model change into an entirely different one of size/etc, as opposed to just changing hair color/aura, would most likely be an "more trouble than it's worth" process involving game coding and whatnot.

Then again, I could be wrong. I'm no game designer.

I don't know if people remember, but SSj3 is supposed to be lean too. However, most games from the PS2 had him about the same size as all of the character's other forms. If I had to guess it would have to be a modeling/rigging issue; especially if the transformations are in game.

I find it funny how people immediately jump to the conclusion of "laziness" for any of the cuts in accuracy. You know there are other factors that go into play when developing a game other than if the developers are "lazy" or not. For all we know, the decision could have been made due to budget/time restraints. Why waste time remaking a skinny Gokuu for his Super Saiyan God transformation (which honestly is a subtle detail) when that time and energy could be allocated somewhere else more important.

No, it's not? Even in the manga, he's drawn with a larger build than his other forms, especially in the neck.

I think Super Saiyan 3 may look lean to some because the size of the hair makes the body look smaller.

A lot of people in the west seemed to think that skinny SSG looked pathetic. Maybe that was a factor?

I think it's the legs of the short characters that looks most off. Typically they are drawn with short stubby legs but in this game they have long legs

That and the facial structure looks off.

The face seems fine, but the way they did the hair makes his head look huge. I think whoever modeled this was trying to make the hair look thick and poofy but it looks like he has like he has a super forehead. Still I think NitroEX was on the right path with the legs. By trying to make it anatomically correct, it looks off; short characters always had a stubby anatomy in the manga so seeing the proportions looking normal just doesn't quite right.

Taking a second look, you're right. The huge hair makes the face look smaller in comparison.

I just can't get over those pants. Everything else looks fine for the most part but the pants look like a bunch of squiggly blocks. Kinda reminds me how I used to draw DB character pants back in like 3rd grade.

SSJGs muscles are bigger than regular Goku's muscles. It looks ridiculous to me. I still can't take those crappy character models and the terrible shading style that goes with them. The thing that I don't like really though is their more than crappy job advertising this game. I want to see a trailer on TV with a commercial. I want to see GameStop and such advertising it. The fact that it took me nearly a month to hear about its existence after it was revealed makes me mad. If they want to bring in more customers other than the hardcore DBZ fan base who will know to look up the JapanExpo just to hear about new stuff, they need to make it a big deal. They need to show everyone. Otherwise they just have the same people buying their games and all the people that would be interested in getting it would NEVER HEAR ABOUT IT.

I would like to think they've done the market research and trend analysis to be able to say, "Hey, even if we start advertising this stuff in more mainstream channels, the cost of doing so is not enough to compensate for the amount of sales it will correlate to, so we are better off just not doing so."

Because, honestly, from my perspective? That's the right decision.

 LOL Still talking about this game?
What's the point? Running is still the only decent thing it has so far. Not worth the money to buy it yet...
There shouldn't be anything to discuss until something new is confirmed. Go talk about a good game like the Jump crossover coming to PS3.

Please let people talk about whatever it is they want to talk about. If you're not interested, you should not feel compelled to toss your two-cents into the mix.

Could anybody tell me where people have seen in-game screenshot of Fat Buu? They said it was blurried but it was him. I have heard this many times, yet I could never find it.

I can't speak for the Buu thing, but I do know there are images of Ultimate Gohan in the mode-selection screen.
