Doesn't change the fact that the majority of the world considers it a kids show edited or not. Even despite that, it's targeted for kids anyway.
There are many reasons why the majority of the world could consider a kids' show, like ignorance. The people Dragonball is targeted for varies. In America, only the edited versions are targeted for kids. As for the unedited versions, they're targeted for those in their adolescence and up.

You're assigning those labels based on your own cultural standards. Said cultural standards don't really apply to a series from a different culture.

To be honest I think Funimation mainly targets teenagers and adults because they can cash in on their nostalgia not because they believe Dragon Ball is for teenagers and adults.

Based on most American standards, it really is.

Jesus, okay:

Based on American standards, DragonBall Z is a show aimed at teenagers/adults that was edited down for kids on TV.

Based on the standards of most other countries in the world, including the country it originated in, DragonBall is a kids show, flat out.

Ultimately, we don't treat it like a shot for adults. Which is why we usually censor the F word. We keep it PG-13, for the most part.

And yes, our jokes are a tad dorky and whatnot. DragonBall is also a tad dorky. Let's be honest. <3

"Most" countries in the world? I doubt most of us have a good idea of what standards are like in most other countries Dragonball has aired in, and I'm confident Australia, Canada and plenty of European countries have standards similar to American ones.

I think teenagers/young adults is more correct. I mean, I can see a 20-years-old guy watching DBZ, but a 37-year-old guy? Nah.

But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

I could see hardcore American comic book fans well into their adulthood, so I don't see how it should be different with DBZ.

So i just went through a TFS marathon and I'm wondering if Raditz is going to come back. He kicked Yemma in the balls and has been roaming around if I recall.

What? I´m 36 ( almost 37 ) and with all my daily duties and responsabilities I´m far from getting tired of DB. I know a lot of people around my age who like DB.

I watch DB since 1994 and from there I stay hooked. In fact, everything that has to do with warriors, fighting, etc. I love it.

DB will be forever in my heart! If God gives me the opportunity to have children, I hope they enjoy DB as I do.

Today I enjoy more Dragon Ball instead of Z and GT.

Whoa, hold on now. My Dad is 50, and still absolutely LOVED it. In fact, he STILL occasionally asks me "when's the next Dragon Ball Z Kai coming out?"

Dragon Ball really is an "everyone" thing. Even my mother never used to miss DBGT when it was on TV.

You do know that the Kanzenshuu staff are in their 30s, right? Well, some of us.

You're not going to get professionally-translated information, news analysis, and content generation from a 16-year-old.

Trust me. I tried.

Well, of course there will be older guys that like Dragon Ball. Just not the majority of it. From what I recall, the majority of the viewers of DBKai in Japan were teens/young adults.

So, that DragonBall Z Abridged show sure is funny. Anyone think Guru will ever come back, like Nappa did?

I wonder how many would-be/ wanna-be voice actors still send auditions to TFS, even when they say they don't take auditions...

I ask because I know one who tried.
