Buy the Japanese DVD or Blu-Ray. Print off Kei7's in-depth summary off the main site. Good to go. :)

As for Funimation, last time I checked they still don't have it.
Darn. funny because Latin america already confirmed release. And that was helped by a Petition, which we also did here too. I'm more inclined to believe the US and Japan both have the most fans compared to other countries... but at least that's my opinion.

He does not fight as a Super Saiyan, he merely passes his Super Saiyan ki to Gokuu. There is no indication as to whether or not Gohan is stronger in one form or the other.
I'm confused as to how Gohan still has his Super Saiyan ability when it was replaced by his inner "ultimate" power? Also why not transfer his Ultimate ki to Goku?
Apparently Gohan can still become a Super Saiyan. That's all there is to it. Gohan didn't use his 'ultimate' power because everyone else used their Super Saiyan power. Everyone is using Super Saiyan...just because. There's nothing else to it.

What's the name for the Kamehameha in Korean? He says something like "Hahehukiha"?!

Videl is not (cuz she cannot for obvious reasons) and Pan has never been shown to go Super Saiyan. More likely than not Toei screwed up and corrected Gohan's hair, etc. when they got called out on Twitter and then forgot to change that scene when Gohan was aiding in the SS God transformation circle. Granted it is possible that Gohan is just tapping into his power differently when he goes Super Saiyan...but who knows...I try not to "over think" Dragon Ball and just enjoy it for what it is...and what it is, is entertainment.

It seems that Gohan can still go Super Saiyan, but activating his Ultimate state is better.

Probably because the Super Saiyan God ritual requires the power of 6 righteous Saiyans. Super Saiyan doesn't affect the Saiyan's personalities anymore (Goku & Gohan have mastered the form, and it's hinted in the manga that Vegeta, Goten, and Trunks (both future & present) have mastered it as well), while Super Saiyan 2, Super Saiyan 3, and Ultimate makes the Saiyans more angry, merciless. In other words, it makes them less righteous. That's probably why Goku, Gohan, and Vegeta used Super Saiyan instead of their full power in the ritual. They wanted to use their strongest & more pure form, which is Super Saiyan Full Power.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Do you base that belief on facts? You'd be surprised how many fans there are in France, for example.

Yeah, it's not that easy. I ran into random guy with one of my friends (who is not watching dragon ball) in different city and they were discussing nose bleeding in anime.
And the random guy uttered: ''But, it's physical also, you didn't saw Dragon Ball? That's a king of shonen genre!''
I think you can't count number of fans on the internet or by that the show is not airing in some country and because of that is not in the spotlight.

We could ask Mike if there's some way to check which country has the most members. :P

That wouldn't really work either, as most of the population belonging to the southern european countries talk english like crap, and wouldn't even be on this site.

So...about the free poster, would it be a good idea to cut off the yellow banner at the bottom? I must admit, it's very tempting, despite the fact that it'll probably produce an odd shape. It'll probably be easier to make that decision when I get to see the poster in person. I guess it all depends on how big the poster is overall:

I can't believe I'm getting the limited edition box!! :D Can't freakin' wait. Feels like we've known about this movie for years now!

EDIT: Just occurred to me that this movie is now screening in the Philippines and Hong Kong. Any word on how it's doing?

EDIT 2: Toei makes DBZ movie. Fans give Toei money. Toei takes money. Fans happy. Toei's happy. Everyone's happy.

Apparently someone uploaded footage of a small portion of Goku's Korean voice actor dubbing for the film. The editing in the clip is choppy though, seems to match the voice from the trailer earlier (that is now private):

Hey guys! I was just talking to my friend from the Philippines and he saw BoG last night in Cebu. He said it was fantastic and was subtitled in English! Looking through this thread I didn't see any mentions about this (it being subbed in English, not that it's been released theatrically in the Philippines), so I thought it might be worth pointing out.

The SM Cinema's webiste does not say it's subtitled, so I guess I don't have definitive proof, but I can't imagine my friend wouldn't lie. He also said the translation was perfect English with proper grammar.

Anyone else hear more about this theatrical release? I wonder if the translation will get carried over to Hong Kong?

EDIT: Here's a link to a comment on SM Cinema's Facebook page confirming the English subs.

Probably gonna get it, but will wait for the CDJapan listing.

Less than a month to go before the dvd/blu-ray release! I'm so anxious to finally get to see this movie!

Toei Animation reported the box office earnings for the Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods film in its most recent financial statement. The film earned a total of 2.9 billion yen (about US$30 million).

Toei reported an all-time record high revenue and profit in their first quarter of the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2014 (April 1, 2013-June 30, 2013). Overall revenue increased by 13.6%, net operating income increased by 160.2%, and ordinary income increased by 137.1%. However, net income went down 134.5%.

Under these xconditions, do you think there will be sequels?

I'd say why not! Plus, wasn't the end of this movie open ended or something? Seems like they've already planned one.
