Tips for Sparking

Post by BrollysKin » Sun May 28, 2006 11:02 pm

I have owned the game for a couple months and have had a hard time adjusting to the controls. I was wondering if it is something that just comes in time or if I need to watch Piccolo's stupid training videos over and over again. There seem to be so many moves and combos compared to Budokai games.

Thanks guys any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just to clarify... you say you've owned the game a couple months... how often have you played it? The controls take some getting use to but after playing a few hours you start to get use to it.

Well I play whenever I can which is a couple hours on weekends, I can't get past the Oozaru on the saiyan saga. There are just a lot of moves I can't do, and its frustrating.

The Ozaru fights are especially brutal, but I figured a good tactic to deal with them. All you need to do is charge up your Ki when the fight starts, and fly upwards at full speed. Stop in mid air and charge, waiting for the ape to follow you. When he does, immediately fly back down at full speed again. If you repeat this enough times you can wait out the clock.

There are less moves in BT than in the Budokai games. So no, there's nothing you can't manage to pull off. The Oozaru fight is simply cheap beyond all reason. Your best bet is to get in and hit him with a stun attack (Square, Square, X works) and simply keep repeating that combo until the timmer runs out.

What?!? When I accicently restarted my memory, I worked to get it back for BT. I lost to Oozaru Vegeta atleast three times trying to pull off that sqaure x cheat I learned in Practice before. The fourth time I was able to get him to be stunned and kept pulling of square x and I won. Sqaure + Square + X fails for me, use square + x, but if you want to, use square + square + x while he's stunned.

The Ozaru Vegeta fight is definatly the most difficult fight in the entire game.

After beating the game completly, I went back to the beginning and it still took me 6-7 tries to beat him.

Reading the manual can work miracles. >.>;; Or the in-game move list.

It was hard for me at first, too. It would be extremely difficult to explain anything on a forum (you need someone with you), so the best thing to do would be to literally spend HOURS in the Hyperbolic time chamber, with the enemy turned on (preferably "very hard"). The only way to get better would be to face enemies waaay beyond your skill. That's what I did. Well, that was when I had lots of spare time.

Only then, will you be able to master the arts of Budokai Tenkaichi. You must harness the power within, and use it to strike fear into your opponents. I believe in you, my young student. Good luck on your journey...

I found the Kid Buu fight with Vegeta to be much harder.

That Oozaru is HARD. It made my little brother cry and he had to get me to play it, and I could only beat Oozaru Vegeta's level in EASY, VERY WEAK mode. I'm so ashamed. It took me a good 15 - 25 times to beat that level, though the exact number I can't remember. (It felt like 25 times. :D )

Practice against the computer a lot. Usually I don't play the game, and I'm stuck on the Budokai 3 controls, so it always takes me an hour or two for me to get used to the controls again, but keep in mind I've only played this game three times (Christmas Day, the time I beat Oozaru Vegeta for my brother, and yesterday randomly.) My brother's the one responsible for unlocking everything.

Oh, and it's not that the game is so bad that I rarely play it. My brother's game broke for a long while, and finally we ended up buying another one. It's actually a very good game.
What's scarier than a DBZ H-game?

So funny, when I managed to beat him, I wasn't pelting him with energy blasts at all. My friend next to me shouted "RUN!" So for the whole 60 seconds (longest minute of my life) I was trying to fly away from Ozaru screaming my head off like a little girl (my friend was as well). Thats all you could hear.

I had a lot of difficulty with that one too at first, but after beating the game I was able to beat that one a second time no problem while the ozaru still gave me trouble.
