Also surprisingly he doesn't use the Shuikan Ido( Instant Transmission.)

I always went with the explanation that he wanted to save SSJ for a last resort. He remembered how one-sided his fight with Frieza was when he was SSJ, so he wanted to test himself to see if he could survive without relying on SSJ.

Movie 9 and 13 fit without continuity errors. M13 just has power scaling issues from an up front perspective.

None of the DBZ movies were never brought up again, so none of them can be view as canon if we go by the "If it was never mention again then it never happen" rule. I think BOG is the only one that can be view as canon to the manga since AT help writing the story unlike DBZ Movie 1-13. I think DBZ Movie 9 and 13 fit very well. Everything else does not.

I can make most of the movies fit, with just a little fan wanking.

Movie 1 is before the arrival of Radditz. Krillin either didn't realise Gohan was Goku's son, or he forgot about him.

Movie 2 would work so much better before the arrival of Radditz as well, if only Goku didn't use Kaioken and the Spirit Bomb. Either wank those into a generic powerup and a generic ki blast, put it in an alternate timeline, or leave it until the 3 years before the Androids. In the latter case, Goku doesn't use SSJ because he's too cold to transform.

Movie 3, alas, has to either go in the alternate timeline or the 3 year training. If it's in the 3 years training, a few months before or after movie 5. Goku can't transform into SSJ because the Tree of Might is sapping all his energy. All the power level readings were suppressed readings too.

Movie 4 takes place a year after movie 3 in the training for the androids, at least a year after movie 3. Once again, Goku can't transform because he's too cold. He tries, and gets the "false Super Saiya-jin" for a few minutes.

Movie 5 is early in the 3 years training for the androids. It fits perfectly without any wanking. Goku chooses not to use Instant Transmission, and doesn't transform until the end of the battle because he was too hurt to at first, and wanted the most of the training opportunity later.

Movie 6 fits flawlessly toward the end of the 3 years training for the androids. The narrator was lying or mistaken when he said Dende was Kami already. Kaio programmed the ship via esp without telling anyone where New Namek was. Only Goku saw Vegita transform, and he didn't see it happen against #19.

Movie 7 is a toughie. The best I can do is shoehorn it in during the 3 years training, saying that Trunks came back breifly to see how everyone was doing, and have Piccolo forget that Vegita can transform. It works better in an alternate timeline.

Movie 8 fits flawlessly in the 10 days before the Cell Games. Goku turned normal because ChiChi made him, so they can do the school interview. ohan, alas, simply goes out of character and cheats. They both learned their lesson after the battle, and remained SSJ until the Cell Games.

Movie 9 fits without flaw in the 7 years after the Cell Games. Trunks came back for a visit, and stayed long enough for his hair to grow out.

ovie 10 fits flawlessly in the time between Gohan meeting Videl and the 25th Budokai. Videl was asked to babysit Goten and Trunks for a few days, and they decided to look for the Dragonballs for fun. The dragonballs were never used, no wish was made. They, I suppose, scattered of their own accord. Goku wasn't really there, any more than he was when Gohan killed Cell.

Movie 11... AU. OK, let's try... I suppose it could be during the first day of Buu's rampage. Everyone leaves the Lookout or whatever offscreen to go get #18's money, and then comes back offscreen. Another toughie.

Movie 12 takes place about a year after the Buu Saga. Goku and Vegita died on purpose so they could enter the 2nd Annoyoichi Budokai, but Yenma was having a bad day and sent Vegita to hell.

Movie 13 happens a while after movie 12. I honestly see no problems with this one.

The 2008 special happens after that, and then movie 14, which I haven't seen yet.

The Dragonball Movies fit with a bit of wanking too. Let's make that a lot of wanking. And some heavy editting.

Curse of the Blood Rubies takes place after Boss Rabbit, and before they get the next dragonball. Everything about Goku meeting Bulma, collecting the dragonballs, et al was just a simplified re-telling of how it happened. Edit out the use of the dragonballs by Gurumesu, have the Blood Rubies go away by some other means, and there you have it.

Sleeping Princess happens between Goku meeting Krillin and them finding Lunch. Edikt out anything that doesn't work.

Mystical Adventure takes place during the Kame Training before the 21st Budokai. Edit out anything where Tao, Crane, Ten, or Chaotzu see Goku, Krillin, and Roshi. Edit out the dragonballs. Lt. Blue is Gen. Blue's twin brother. Bora and Upa are lookalikes instead of the actual characters. Either Ten & Chaotzu reconcile with crane, or simply edit the conflict out. After the tourneyment, Ten and Chaotzu leave to train together, and the country is left in the hands of Chaotzu's wife.

Path to Power doesn't fit anywhere.

1. Goku and Piccolo said it's the first time they fought together . Also Krillin said who the Kid. Lastly Goku and Piccolo were surprised that each was wearing weights

2.
In the latter case, Goku doesn't use SSJ because he's too cold to transform.
That is a the poorest excuse ever lol. Also would't Tien and Yamcha be in this movie if it was 3 year weight. Lastly this came out before the Android Arc was announced.

Movie 3 - Goku wasn't suppressed against Turles and Turles said Goku was at 30,000.

4. Once again poor excuse using the weather as we see them transform in a ice age.

5. Fair enough

6. Bad fan wanking lol. Where was Kami? The narrator can would question that.

7. Alternate timeline only

8. Everyone is in panic mode. No one is doing school interviews when Cell is going to kill eveyone.

9. He could have grew his hair before his visit.

10. It was confirmed that Goku was there. Broly saw him as well. Unlike how Cell could not see Goku.

11. best to say AU

12. That is just funny as hell.

13. Fair enough.

Db:
1. But Master Roshi didn't even have a decent role...
2. Just plain up AU
3. TO much editing
4. Path of power was a dream when Goku was alseep on the Lookout

You see even with fan wanking the movies still can't fit.

DB Movie 1-4 were just re-tellings of the first few sagas from what I can remember which is why no one ever views them canon. I think all of the DBZ movies expect for DBZ movie 1 could take place in a alternate universe. Toei did the same with the Kamen Rider movies before Kamen Rider Den-O was released. The movies to me are just what if's on what could happen.

Movie 2 - What if Kuririn killed Vegeta and Vegeta never mention about the dragon balls on his scouter. Freeza never went to Namek for the dragon balls and everyone was wished backed.

Movie 3 - What if Goku made it on time and no one was killed by Nappa & Vegeta.

Movie 4 - What if Goku's genki dama killed Freeza on Namek. I think the other Z Senshi have not been wished back yet or they choose to stay dead to live with King Kai.

Movie 5 - What if Goku killed Freeza for good on Namek and Freeza was never rebuild as Mecha Freeza.

Movie 6 - Takes place in the same universe as Movie 5. What if Dr. Gero took on Vegeta after he killed #19? Piccolo fused with Kami to stop Cell from going into Gero's lab to absorb #17 and #18 then Dende became the new Kami of Earth.

Movie 7 - It could be a what if Goku never caught the heart virus in his timeline. Goku and the other Z Senshi may have killed #17 and #18 then Piccolo fused with Kami in order to kill Cell.

Movie 8 - What if the Cell games never happen. Cell goes on a rampage to absorb as many people as he wants, Goku and the other Z Senshi end up fighting Cell after Goku defeated Broli. Goku dies in battle and Gohan kills Cell.

Movie 9 - This one fits, but Bojack and his gang were never mention again in the show. So it can be view either way.

Movie 10 - Same universe as Movie 8. Goku may have came down on Earth for a day before the Tenkaichi Budokai happen which explains why Goten knows his dad.

Movie 11 - Same universe as Movie 8 and 10. Goku already went to Earth, so he can't stop Babidi and Dabra. Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta, Kibito and Kaioshin stop Buu from hatching on their own. Buu was never hatched out of his shell in this universe and everyone lived happily ever after.

Movie 12 - No idea. Maybe in a universe every DBZ Movie 1-11 happen in a single timeline. My head hurts thinking about it  .

Movie 13 - Same with Movie 9

I forget, how did the game Buu's Fury fit in Movie 12? It's impossible because Vegeta and Goku never saw each other again before the Potara fusion, but still.

As I recall... Goku comes back to the afterlife after teaching everyone about the Fusion Dance, like in the series, but when he gets there he finds those jellybean things floating around everywhere, with Enma trapped inside one. Enma tells him about what happened with Janenba, and Goku heads down to HFIL to deal with things and recruits Vegeta to help him. The tournament and everything on Earth gets skipped over.

While people keep on bringing up the inconsistency of everyone knowing who Gohan is in movie 1, there is another big one people keep missing. That being that Goku and Piccolo being quite genuinely surprised when Gohan goes into rage mode and smashes out of Raditz's pod. You'd think, if anything, they'd be feeling quite a sense of deja vu, what with their unexpected team-up, their almost verbatim lines as they take off their weighted clothes, and now being assisted by the same helpless child who suddenly takes off with massive power.

As for movie 5, that really doesn't fit as seamlessly into that three year gap as everyone thinks. I mean, Gohan would have had to magically de-age to his Freeza arc appearances when he was already quite a bit older and had a totally different hairstyle by the time Goku was back. Also, Goku uses instantaneous movement against Coola in movie 6 and acts like it's a brand new thing when he should have had it during their last fight. Possible he just didn't use it, but obviously it's because he didn't have it at the point the movie was extrapolated from the timeline (which was late Freeza arc).

I think Movie 1 was originally write as a what if before Toei created the Garlic Jr saga and made the whole movie canon to the show. I think Movie 1 can be view as a what if Goku never died and Piccolo never told Radditz about the Dragon Balls. It could explain why everyone knows who Gohan is in the movie.

I think it'd be cool to see (Like in the Cooler movie) Goku have to master SSJ rather than suddenly obtaining it. Like if he was having trouble holding onto that form.

You do realize that will mean Base Gogeta is weaker than Goku SSJ from the Cooler Movie right?

Only timeline movies that can fit into timeline are
Movie 1 if you change some things
Movie 5
Movie 9
Movie 13

Everything else have way to many errors.

Krillin doesn't know Gohan.
Well Broly's and Gogeta's power levels obviously are higher than V-jump puts them. I still have Cell Games Goku/Gohan about 1.5 billion. And SSJ2 Gohan about 3 billion (not counting his rage boost).

That's still incredibly low... but more importantly, Gohan was much stronger than Goku there. He should be 2 billion or so going by your scale.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

I remember in DBZ Movie 6 that Goku did not need to lock on a ki signature to use the Shunkan Ido. In the anime and manga, Goku still need to lock on a ki signature to use it battle.

Not quite. The dead rising on Earth is mentioned and used as justification for having lots of enemies to fight during the "hunt for the dragonballs" section.
