Re: "Jaco the Galactic Patrolman" discussion thread (DB–8)
A couple of days ago, I emailed Viz about whether they have plans for a digital and/or physical single-volume release of "Jaco." (I know, it's probably too early to tell. But I couldn't resist asking, lol.)
This was their response:
"While we have no current plans to release 'Jaco' outside of Weekly Shonen Jump, we've definitely heard a lot of support for it. We're listening to our fans and will do what we can! However, for the present, 'Jaco' will be available exclusively in WSJ."
That kinda bummed me out, since I missed purchasing last week's "Shonen Jump." And I don't think there's a way to order back-issues. =/
Anyway, what do you guys think the chances are for an official single-volume release of "Jaco the Galactic Patrolman" (à la "Sandland")?

It has first to be released in a single volume by Shueisha in Japan.

Re: "Jaco the Galactic Patrolman" discussion thread (DB–7)
Merlusa from Kintoki has a cameo on the first page of this chapter. That is the second or third reference to one of his past works so far. I wonder if we have been missing any smaller ones.
Re: "Jaco the Galactic Patrolman" discussion thread (DB–7)
For a second there, with the name "Tights", I was wondering if we were seeing a younger Bulma's Mother (though, that would just make Dr. Briefs even creepier >_>).
I'm interested to see where this goes, and what Jaco does now that he's on the run.

Only could read chapter 5 now.
I'm loving the cameos that the others toriyama-sama works are having in GPJ.
Cant wait to see where this goes.

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Is there any way someone like me, from Norway, could buy this digitally?FortuneSSJ wrote:Only could read chapter 5 now.

This is going to look pretty interesting, now that Omori and Jaco are wanted.

Really, you can't create a wiki for one single manga that only exists as a single media.Jacopedia wrote:This is going to look pretty interesting, now that Omori and Jaco are wanted.

It'll be easier and more accurate to read the 12 chapters to find info rather than consulting the wiki.
Wiki are usuful only for consequent series with a lot of merchadise, adaptations, etc.

Well, remember, this is a confirmed prequel to Dragon Ball, and plus, we don't know what could come after it.JeffJarrett wrote:Really, you can't create a wiki for one single manga that only exists as a single media.Jacopedia wrote:This is going to look pretty interesting, now that Omori and Jaco are wanted.

Re: "Jaco the Galactic Patrolman" discussion thread (DB–7)
It was never specifically confirmed to be a prequel. All that was specifically confirmed is that it has some sort of connection to Dragon Ball. Will it likely end up being so? Probably. But that's not what's been said so far.
Taking a quick look through this wiki... it's also rather irresponsible to start assigning arc names to an on-going series. The original author and publisher have not done so. Assigning an arbitrary name to an "arc" of just three weekly chapters is bizarre.
While your intentions seem fine enough, judging by the work done so far, I don't think you quite grasp the very specific research, documentation, and processes necessary to be creating an encyclopedic knowledge base.

Re: "Jaco the Galactic Patrolman" discussion thread (DB–7)
Well, if you don't like the arc names, I could always remove 'em. Well, I misunderstood so I shall change the info saying it's a prequel to a tie-in. Also, it says in the top-right corner of the chapter "DB-[number]", so I assumed from that it's a prequel. But I may remove the arc names; I created them because I believe another wiki does that.VegettoEX wrote:It was never specifically confirmed to be a prequel. Re: "Jaco the Galactic Patrolman" discussion thread (DB–6)
Yoyocom69's got an idea that maybe Tights is Bulma's older sister (if I'm reading this correctly).

I was thinking more along the lines of a cousin, but after Table (well actually, after Raditz) having characters' siblings popping up isn't that unlikely.
