The movie does indeed have quite a few things at the end that hint at there being more adventures to come. Whether this was actually sequel-baiting or just Toriyama being Toriyama (he did intentionally end the manga in an extremely non-conclusive way as well, after all) is not certain, but yeah, the possibility of extending upon the concepts introduced in Battle of Gods to create a DBZ Movie 15 is most certainly present.

Yeah, I'm with ya' on that. The ending to the movie seems no more or less open/close-ended than any other point at all in the entire series as a story arc comes to a close. Everything's always, "Well that's done, but boy, the world/universe sure is filled with strong guys!"

It can pretty much go anywhere from here considering the bombshell Bills drops with the statement of 12 universes and various gods in each one. If we do get a BOG sequel, id like it to happen after the Tournament with Uub. He could be just starting his training with Goku when Bills reawakens and Vegeta could have obtained SSJ3 (seriously Toei, give it to him already..). He doesent need SSJG right away.

The difference is, it didn't really end like the other arcs:

The 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai ended with Goku as the strongest on Earth, without any knowledge about other guys in outer space or AfterLife.
Freeza arc ended with Super Saiyan Goku as the strongest in the universe, again without any knowledge about other stronger guys.
Cell arc ended with Super Saiyan 2 Gohan as the new strongest in the universe, AGAIN without any knowledge about stronger guys.
Boo arc ended with Ultimate Gohan, Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks, and Super Saiyan 3 Goku on the top of both the universe and AfterLife (and with the temporary Super Vegetto being stronger than all 3 of them combined), with only Oob having potential to reach the top as well, but not any further knowledge about any other stronger guy.

However, BoG ended differently: We learn about two new stronger guys (Beers & Whis) who are stronger than anything so far, and we see Goku getting a new power-up (Super Saiyan God) to defeat them, only to find out that he is still weaker than them. Not only that, but we also learn that there are 11 other universes which possibly have guys that are even stronger than Beers & Whis.

And then, we have these hints:
Chozenshuu 1 wrote:Introduction: “New” Dragon World
A sort of “mission statement” about the new section, about how the Dragon World is ever-expanding, and there have been new stories yet untold, featuring powerful enemies descending to Earth, and battles for the fate of planets in far-off space. The new world of Dragon Ball will continue to unfold…
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

"new stories yet untold featuring powerful enemies..... battles..."

I believe that there is not plural in japanese. How to know if the sentence is in plural? maybe "new story yet untold featuring powerful enemy..and battle..."

But i hope there will be more stories in the future and not one more story... with 12 gods of destruction, there is a potential.

Can't tell at this point of this is an official page for the animanga/film comic for BOG (do those normally even get their own official facebook pages?) but it still looks interesting: https://www.facebook.com/DBZanimecomics

What you have to consider though is, it's not like Goku VS Piccolo Junior was the first story-arc. Heck, every arc before that had ended in a way that actually did show that there were still plenty of bigger fish in the pond, and it wasn't before Goku won the tournament that the series started ending each conflict with "Goku is now the strongest person alive!"

That said, I do almost feel that Battle of Gods takes this "always someone better"-idea a bit too far. I mean,

A lot of new stuff has been sneaking under the radar lately. This "new" trailer was from 5 days ago; what's the matter with you internet? Although I guess the clips aren't really new, considering the movie's already been out.

Has this one appeared anywhere yet? : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJW0zITqIzo
It's the Korean VA for Goku recording lines in a booth, but for a good portion of the clip you can see what scenes he's doing--some of which I haven't seen anywhere else before.

He always does that :problem: That's quite boring and unfair.

Well, I was wondering: wasn't BoG supposed to come in China since 15th august? We still haven't seen any promo about that.

Huh no? The trailer was posted a few pages back, so was that Korean dubbing Chu mentioned. And if anyone is being tricked to visit a website around here it's to visit Saiyan Island.

Looking back at all the trailers we've had for this film, anyone else think they're a tad misleading?

Yeah, I'd think that the movie is serious and fully action-packed like the old ones if I didn't know much about it and just saw the trailers.

I agree. Those alarm clocks (the time bombs) are especially misleading. I was under the impression for the longest while that what we were looking at in that shot was Earth's reality being warped by Beerus' special powers and that Capsule Corp sat on one of those floating rocks.

I also expected Uisu to be some kind of double agent or manipulator using Beerus to destroy Earth so Uisu could have it to do as he pleased.

Am I the only one who feels Jōji Yanami was quite flat sounding when we hear him? It's as if he didn't put any real energy into the line in the trailer.

If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! He's 81 years old, so it can't be helped I guess.

Geez Kei, you change avatars faster than anyone I have ever seen on any forum.

Anyway, I'm curious to hear who will be dubbing Bills and Whiss in Battle of Z, as we may finally get a idea of who will dub them when Funimation finally does their dub.

For Bills I could see Steve Blum doing it (would be a cool cameo of sorts as Bills's Japanese voice did Spike in Cowboy Bebop). Hes got that similarly deep voice as Bill's Japanese voice and can sound cool and calm and also angry and vicious.

For Whiss, my money is on either Vic Mignogna or Todd Haberkorn. Both of them have a soft voice that could translate to Whiss's demeanor and soft spoken personality pretty well.
