As a kid, I was thinking that it would be awesome to transform in game and have both Goku as normal and SSJ and was charmed by Super Butouden, albeit the gameplay being horrendous.
Then the Hyper Dimension came with those cool animations and in 2002, in Budokai, I was able to transform in-game!!!!
So you can't transform in-game????! I can't believe that, as in the Gundam from Art-Dink, the Gundams that transform in the series, transform even in-game and that's more difficult animation and mechanics than SSJ.

they had to find some way to make it worse then UT so getting rid of in-game transformations and ofline multiplayer will do it plus whatever else we don't know about

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle got a perfect score (40/40) on Famitsu.
Since Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 got a 39/40, I hope Namco Bandai finally releases a really good Dragon Ball game for once.
Sorry, I can't speak English very well, but I'm trying my best.

Got to give TheGmGoken a pat on the back for being the first person I ever hear say Budokai 1> Budokai 3 in anything other than cut scenes.

BOZ is truing out to be the reason I ask for a Budokai 4 or Tenkaichi 4 or even Treevax's RB3.

I don't know, maybe because from the marketing point of view, the Blast name was stained by Raging Blast 2 (I love the game, but absence of story mode and not meeting majority's criteria), Ultimate Blast and later Kinect,
they wanna reach the majority player base with some new mish-mash experiment? Maybe this time it will work?

BT3 is over stacked. BT2 was more dbzish
budokai 1 had the cutscenes but other then that 3 is better in EVER way
Budokai 3 is overrated. For what it's worth Budokai 1 was more funnier to play. Budokai 3 got boring after completing DU for the 5th time.
Ah Hell naw. You did not just say Budokai 3 was WORSE than Budokai 1.

No... no it wasn't. It was much faster paced and you had more to do with it. Yeah they removed a few things, but they more than made up for that, then added speed. Sparking Meteor is probably the most "DBZ-ish" game out there in terms of gameplay.

Since the character select screen is not in-game, then it's still possible that we will get in-game transformations.

But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

OMG..

Seriously, this is probably a BETA version or something. In Raging Blast 1 FIRST ever demo (Released to the public of Japan Expo) the characters and transformations were separate. Even Raging Blast 2 demo didn't have transformations. How could you assume 100% that it's the final menu/roster?
And if this is the final version, why there is Goku(Base) and then more below there is Goku (SSJ1)? Why there isn't Goku (SSJ2) and SSJ3? Because it's very likely it's a work in progress..

This menu is not even in a PS3/XB360/PSV... it's from a PC. Relax guys.

It's just to show some of the characters that will be featured in the game. Not the in-game character selection.

Umm no.... The RB demo did not have separate characters for transformations.

I'm talking about the RB first ever DEMO exclusive to the audience of Japan Expo event. That demo featured separate characters with transformations in separate slots. The final demo released to the LIVE and PSN was much different and improved.

Pretty much this. And if I recall correctly, there's a wider gap between what we've seen of BoZ and the release than there was between the demo of RB1 and that game's release. Feel free to embarrass me, but I'm pretty sure that's what happened.
Thanos before Thanos was cool.
