Dragonball movies...

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Movie 5 also doesn't work because Gohan's age isn't a day past Namek, but there was over a year and a half before Goku got back, in which Gohan had long(er) hair again, and was significantly taller.
I'd forgotten about Gohan, though I did remember his tail.
Movie 13 only works if you ignore the battle plot-holes, but that's nothing different from the Anime either.
Basicly, the issue is Goku being stronger than everyone else. Both SSJ3 Gotenks and Mystic Gohan get their asses kicked but Goku saves the day. However, I think it was Gotenks' goofing off a bit too much and his suprised at Hildegarn's transformation that lead to his defeat. And Goku did get trounced pretty well himself.
Movie 6 isn't just out of place because of Super Saiyan Vegeta. Dende is the plothole.
Not to mention the entire frakkin' Planet Namek.
Well, Vegeta's not a plot hole in any way, shape, or form. Neither is the planet, as it's not Namek, it's New Namek. Dende is the issue with movie 6. Well, that and being a sequel to movie 5.
Movie 9's plotholes are small...mainly the fact that when Trunks left for the past again (canon) to tell everyone he beat the Artificial Humans, he had short hair and was wearing armor. The Gohan thing...is a debate, as said before.
All of Movie 9's apparent holes can be easily filled and repaired. So there's not much of an issue with it.
As for Gohan's SSj2 thing, I just now thunk of something about that. I think he could actually have been reluctant or unsure about wanting to use it. I seem to recall during the Cell Games, SSj2 changed Gohan's attitude a good deal (I'm sure there are all kinds of theories regarding this, too), and it was his subsequent arrogance that got Goku killed. I could see why Gohan might've wanted to avoid using SSj2, if possible, for fear of making a mistake like that again.
Ya. I mean, think about it, Gohan didn't want to let go at the Cell Games. He was affraid of his own power. And then, once he did let go, it got Goku killed. I can seriously see him not wanting to use his full power in Movie 9 for that reason. Simply because he was affraid to.

I was referring moreso to Videl being stronger than Gohan, whom lost to a wall.

I'm thinking movie 13 took place in future Trunks' universe, way before he went to Goku in the time machine (in Z). Remember when Tapion gave him the sword at the end of the movie? I'm pretty sure that's how he got his sword, and they show him using it in the end credits. That's the impression I got when I first saw the movie. So I'm thinking it was pre-Z because it was in the....past? Now I'm confused! :?

Goku died in Future Trunks' universe long before discovering SSj3, Videl wasn't in the Future world, nor were Goten, the Fusion Dance, Gohan being Mystic, or Great Saiyaman.

I don't remember the part you're talking about...

That sword was not the sword that Future Trunks used. It is however, the sword that GT Trunks used. The prence of Future Trunks in the credits was sort of a way to show that his present counterpart was, to some extent, following his footsteps.

This is true. Barely anyone survived in Trunks' future. I forgot about that. So then....movie 13 must've taking place sometime in the ten years between the Buu saga and the tournament with Uub. That makes sense.

Out of all the movies, which ones could've taken place in the trunks timeline?

What are all the plotholes in the movies, filler, and GT? What would be some theories to explain them and get them to "exist"?...

My intentions aren't to be rude - but why do you want to Canonize them? They are nice and enjoyable as they are and should be left so...in my opinion. I love a lot of the movies, especially the latter 2 Dragon Ball installments, and DBZ Movie 5. Lack of canonity doesn't take away from them - it adds to them!

Excellent point there, mio amico. (Is "canonity' a real word?)

And it keeps people from having a fit about them.
