Lightning is WAY hotter than the surface of the Sun. Lighting can get as hot as 53,000 degrees while the surface of the sun usually sits around 10,000 degrees. The core of the sun however, is roughly 27 million degrees.

Regarding Nova Shenron's statement of being hotter than the sun, id need to know if he was talking about its surface or its core but even if his flames are 6k degrees, by the time Goku reaches SSJ4, that shouldent even phase him as hes tanked lightning as a mere 12 year old. Id personally disregard the whole Nova Shenron's heat thing entirely if were using real world physics.

Kinda already prove that lighting is way hotter . Hot Shenron was most likely referring to the surface as it's the most common talked about when dealing with non science nerds and the easiest to understand. Heat Shenron can't hurt the Earth's surface by much. But this is DBGT we're talking about. Goku can't even pick up a broken building and a clock hurts his face. Kid Goku can kick his ass.

This is why I say forget making a new DB series and just remake GT. Heck I know of a fan project that essentially removes any and every plothole in DB/Z/and GT and actually makes it work not to mention I started a thread for the specific purpose of asking the fans how theyd do GT if given the option. Look it up and read some of the suggestions, it makes GT sound like it could be even better than Z.

Can't find it . We all know DBGT was Toei's gift to themselves. I do hate when people say we need a new series. Hell I even found BoG not needed. The occasional specials like YSGAFR are nice enough. I do hate how DBGT made everyone's feats jump around more than Nappa's fighting skills. One moment they're on par with Z feats then the next they're worst than Dragonball's feat. Hell SSJ4 Vegeta complain that he could't hold a PIECE of a broken Building. Thank Dende/Kami that they didn't have to move a fucking Truck.

On Topic: So yea. Hotter than Earth isn't a good feat. It'll most likely burn Goku for a little while(Ignoring DBGT logic) like a bee sting. So I would't be shocked if the Z fighters can destroy the Sun. Now when talking about a different Sun like Eta Carinae. They would fail.

I think that topic on how much the warriors could bench press included a formula regarding punching through and destroying the sun. If I remember it correctly, end of Buu saga Goku could do it with relative ease.

Don't use that to be honest. Destroying the sun is the closest to math as DBZ got.
