Yeah, I like to call the Kaio-Ken "Warlord Fist" (the translated name is "World King Fist", but I think "Warlord Fist" sounds so much better) and Gohan's Ultimate form his "pure" form. Spirit Ball sounds cooler as "Sparking Bullet" too. And "Super Great Ape" is a better term for Golden Great Ape.
1. Warlord Fist? Nah Goku isn't a warlord and neither is King Kai.. So the name Warlord fist for the KaioKen just doesn't fit.

2. "Pure" Gohan instead of "Ultimate" Gohan? I disagree with also because even though the word tainted is mostly used in a negative sense, Gohan was tainted by Kaioshin/Witch magic.. definitely doesn't make him pure.

3. Sparking Bullet? sounds like something that would be in Budokai 3 but eh, whatever floats your boat.

4. Super Great Ape? Fine I guess.

Only ones I can think of:

Redict - As Kaboom explained, to preserve the "credit" pun.
Bluma - Not really "made-up", but a compromise between Blooma and Bulma.
Reiki Dama - Since it is only named in games, this is my name for the Stardust Breaker / Soul Punisher that Gogeta uses in Movie 12.
Raiokutian - Not sure this really counts since Freeza's race doesn't have an official name, but I gave cryo/kuriao the yasai/saiya treatment.
Super Ōzaru - When combining Super Saiyan and Ōzaru, this makes more sense as a name. I still use the original, but only as a descriptor.
Hitōzaru - Akin to Kakarotto and Son Goku, this is a proper name for the Super Saiyan 4 transformation. Though I still call it SS4 since the characters do.

I like most of these! Hitozaru (despite being a portmanteau of Person and Monkey) reminds me of Chimchar though since it's name in Japanese is Hikozaru (I played the Sinnoh games in Japanese first. Those pop in my head before the English ones do).

1. Well, King Kai is a supreme leader and warlord has to do with battle.

2. Gohan's "Ultimate" form is him showing his true power as he's no longer hiding it. It's his "true" form in a way, so I think "pure" works.

3. Sokidan translates to Spinning Ki Bullet, but I think that sounds too simple, so I think Sparking Bullet's kewl

In all honestly your just better off keeping these to yourself. Many of us use the Japanese term or American term, not fan made ones.

about the only fan-made term I've done is for Freeza's race.

I called them Reitoujin, Japanese for "Frozen People"

I call Buff Boo "South Boo" (though Buff Boo is also a fan term as Kid Boo (South Kaioshin absorbed) doesn't have an official name.

Yeah, and not only that, but if half of these end up used in conversation, expect next to nobody to have a single clue as to what the hell they are. Like Warlord Fist. I thought that was some wrestling move when someone used that earlier. Kaboom's examples are exempt because they're legitimate adaptations.

Just wanted to say. Your comment made me laugh so hard. Especially the Wikia part. Through people should be able to understand my wording of Genki Dama as Genki Dami since I just change one letter. But Warlord Fist. Shit I had to Google that. Turns out it's a name for "Fallen Earth" item that increases stats. http://fallenearth.wikia.com/wiki/Item:_Warlord's_Fist

Buff Buu- Buuoshin

Majuub- Uub Repus / Super Uub

Pure Evil Buu- Grey Buu

Buuccolo 1 / Buuccolo 2- the first one is the one with Piccolo, Goten, and Trunks absorbed. The second is the one with just Piccolo absorbed.

Grand Kaioshin- most people I see use either "Dai Kaioshin" or "Grand Supreme Kai". I use this.

I like names that still let the person I'm talking to know what I'm talking about.

There are also names I don't use in conversation, but I use myself:

Super Duper Buu- Buuccolo

Mega Buu- Buff Buu

Ultra Buu- Buutenks

Ultimate Buu- Buuhan

SPC- Stupid Perfect Cell. I only use this when mocking him.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

I've always thought it'd be kind of funny if Freeza's mom (assuming their species doesn't reproduce asexually like the Nameks) was named some variation of "Refrigerator." (Refrigerata? Refrigera? Something like that.) Not sure why, it was just the first name pun that came to mind way back when I first found out about the whole "Freeza's family = refrigerators, their soldiers = things found in refrigerators like fruit, veggies, and dairy" thing.

I don't really have my own names for anything that has a name already, though I do use some names that are technically fan-terms rather than official ones. Mostly old ones that are pretty well established already, though (does anyone not know what form of Buu is "Super Buu"?)

I've always liked "Super Uub" for GT's Uub/Buu fusion. "Majuub" just sounds weird (I guess because they wanted to give him a "fusion name" but they didn't want to call him "Buub"... but still), and it's especially weird that he randomly has a new name when he still seems basically the same guy as before (except stronger and with the power to turn things into candy)... he's basically in the same situation as Piccolo, but Piccolo's name didn't change with either of his fusions. Did he even get a new name in the Japanese version, or was Majuub a dub-only thing?

Also Gray or Skinny Buu, Super Buu, and Kid Buu for those stages of Buu, since it makes more sense than the confusing mess of having a "Pure Evil Buu," a "Pure Buu," and an "Evil Buu."

Kaboom's post revolves around semantics, they have reasons that directly correlate to their original terms and meaning. What they're not, are terms pulled out of nowhere just because they 'sound cool'. So no, it's not an opinion, it's a fact that they are adaptations - adaptations of the original words.

Yours are terms you've pulled out your ass for whatever asinine reason that have little to no resemblance of a romanisation of the Japanese term.

It's not a fact that they're legitimate fannames. It's an opinion.

Also, I did not come up with my names just because they sounded cool. I got "Warlord Fist" off of World King/Lord Fist (Kaio-Ken's translation), but in all honesty, "World Lord Fist" sounds odd. "Warlord Fist" sounded more appropriate as it relates more to battle and is more accessible. "Sparking Bullet" was off of Spinning Ki Bullet (Sokidan's translation), but I thought Spinning Ki Bullet sounded too simple. "Sparking Bullet" sounds sufficiently more complex and still fits with its attack. I came up with "pure" Gohan for what people consider to be Gohan's "ultimate" form as when Gohan uses that form, he's not hiding any of his power. In a way, it's the "true" and completely unadulterated Gohan, so "pure" fits. "Super Great Ape" fits Golden Great Ape as that form is very similar to the Super Saiyan form.

Legitimate as in they have some grounding not that they're 'correct', that's obviously an opinion.

The way you just explained yourself actually makes your terms sound much less absurd. They sound just as viable as Kaboom's when you present it like that - sure, there's parts I don't quite agree with but that's the level of detail I think is really needed when talking about a subject like this. Prior to that, the way it was presented just reeked of 'I like these because they're cool'.
