Ricardo Silva has confirmed that the songs for BoG won't be dubbed in Spanish for the Latin American release, the decision came from Japan because FLOW doesn't want their songs dubbed in other languages. The only exception is the bingo song which Vegeta sings in the film, that one will be dubbed.

Then what was up with the Brazilian Portuguese version that popped up? That's a bummer, I wanted to see FUNimation dub the songs.

So, they don't want anyone to make a dub of the song, but they made an English dub themselves that no one can understand well, huh.

Their english may not be good but they still did the song in another language. I liked their engrish version.

What I'm more curious about is if Battle of Gods does get a theatrical release in the US (sub or dub), which version of the songs will be used since both versions are official? Original Japanese since that was what was in the film to begin with, or will they try and bridge the gap a bit and use the English version?
And when are they going to release the English version of Hero?

Kinda sucks that we won't get official English versions, but eh, I kind of saw it coming in a way. Flow is a fairly big band in Japan, right? I can see them not really wanting over-dubs of their songs to happen.

I'm sure, given enough time, someone will do an awesome English cover of it on their own though.

If anyone has a good English translation to base the lyrics off of, I'll probably find someone who could do it for the English DB song channel I have going on YouTube. Still unfortunate that Flow won't let official companies dub the song(s).

The English version for Hero sounds decent, most French fans would think it's by an English/American band, it's understandable unlike hearing Kageyama's English (I can hardly understand two words in the whole Kageyama English songs).
