If you could improve 1 thing on Kanzenshuu.
What would it b. For me...well I'll post that later. I'm curious what the fans have in mind.

An off-topic thread. Talking about Dragon Ball all the time with other forum members gets boring. Also its hard to make friends with other forum members when the only thing you talk about is Dragon Ball.

I honestly going to say that was one of my ideas. I would say the rules ofDynasticHunter wrote:An off-topic thread. Talking about Dragon Ball all the time with other forum members gets boring. Also its hard to make friends with other forum members when the only thing you talk about is Dragon Ball.
No other anime besides favorite anime topic. But no anime debates of who stronger than who.
Be respectful

More mods. I'd nominate Kamiccolo as one as he is very neutral and polite.

Okay time for my post. More mods that interact in debates and topics. At best once in awhile I see a mod interacvt in debates and such. But not as much. I mean this makes it appear as if mods just don't care for the topics and just there to warn or ban. Making some mods APPEAR FROM NO WHERE. Like I saw 1 mod that I didn't even know was a user. I understand eveyone got lives and such. But one pop up every 5 months is not good.

Global find-and-replace. It would make it a lot easier to tweak content that's spread across a bunch of different pages on the site. I'm tired of having to hunt down the word "pissed" from episode summaries so I can rid the characters of their (unintended) drunkenness.

A custom forum template similar to the website's.

For me, it would be time to dedicate myself to a campaign promoting the website above the forum. This is not a forum. This is an entire website. The forum is a part of the website.

What downtimes have you experienced lately? Near as I can tell, there hasn't been anything in months. Not saying it hasn't happened, but it should be taken care of... with everyone's continued support, of course!Marco Polo wrote:Fewer downtimes!

It's not like people don't read the website or don't know about it (or I don't think so, anyway), just that the news rarely touch the in-universe stuff, so don't expect them to be commented intensively. We're here to discuss power levels and in which form Gohan was forever without ever coming to definite conclusions! Complete battle power and transformation guides and you got readers!VegettoEX wrote:For me, it would be time to dedicate myself to a campaign promoting the website above the forum. Getting rid of the dead space on the sides of the site, maybe? I run at 1920 x 1080 so it can be a bit annoying.
Otherwise the only other 'improvements' I can think of would be getting the Animation Styles Guide and Transformation Guides back up and running. My yearning for the latter has become something of a years-long running gag at this point.

Right on. New Zealand. That's where they made "Lord of the Rings". I say we just move there, yo. I mean, you can do your art. Right? Like, you can paint the local castles and shit. And I can be a bush pilot. -Jesse Pinkman

Really, if I had to pick something...it would be to add a couple more people to the main staff of the website, not just the forum. Help lessen the workload on you guys and also speed up getting content out faster in the process.
Understandable why it is unlikely to be done though.

An off-topic forum. I still can't see how it would overshadow Dragon Ball.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Called fixed layout. It's mainly so the site would look the same to everyone. In fluid layout, content formatting (like where to put images, how many of them in one line, on which side, etc.) would lose its purpose and the content would often look like a mess in other screen resolutions. I'm definitely against the suggestion.JulieYBM wrote:Getting rid of the dead space on the sides of the site, maybe? I run at 1920 x 1080 so it can be a bit annoying.
Re: If you could improve 1 thing on Kanzenshuu.
No, no, no, no, NO! An off-topic forum is the last thing this forum needs. Do you know how many bullcrap off-topic threads start and how much excessive monitoring it will need? Sure it'll start off innocently enough, "What's you favorite anime, game, movie, etc" then you'll get THAT topic about politics, religion, random internet drama and so on. Then the flame wars shall begin. I would just love to go to forum about Dragon Ball and visit the off-topic section for a nice friendly chat about abortion.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:An off-topic forum. Sure, I can just avoid it but I'm thinking of the community here. Even on forums about more popular and active franchises, like One Piece and Sonic, a majority of members flock to the off-topic thread constantly. The main point of the forum then becomes an after thought because everyone else wants to add their opinion on something else. If you want to talk politics, go to a political forum. If you want to talk about a certain anime, then by all means visit a forum dedicated to that anime. There's no need to start a topic on a forum that has nothing to do with it.
I'm not trying to be mean to you or anyone else who wants an off-topic section on the site. I just think it's a really bad idea. Like adding images in signatures. *shivers*

Re: If you could improve 1 thing on Kanzenshuu.
Well, and many Dragon Ball discussions tend to end up talking about who is stronger than who. It's not like the forum discussions are flawless now that we talk about Dragon Ball. You are looking too much to the negatives rather than the positives. The reason I want an off-topic forum isn't because I want to discuss, say, about One Piece with some guys, I want to discuss about it with the guys here. And I think that opening temporary an off-topic section as an experiment wouldn't be a bad idea. At least say that you tried.

I've been doing this since 1998.
I've run many experiments.
This one fails every time. Never again.
