According to this guide, Towa is a scientist from the world of demons and Miira an artificial being created from the DNA of the great masters. Miira and Towa are a couple and have a son called Fu, destined to be a major threat in the future.

HECTOR4, we've been discussing that for a while now...
Right here actually: http://www.kanzenshuu.com/forum/viewtop ... 20#p698028
You could have at least said where you got those pictures from, instead of dumping them here like they're yours. It was from Herms, as we all know.

Technically, they're not from Herms nor HECTOR4, they're from the Taiwanese guidebook.

What's her name? It's not written Boo (ブウ) in her name, so it's not "Miss Boo".

Don't be a smartass, it's common courtesy to credit who scanned the pages. Everyone knows that.JeffJarrett wrote:Technically, they're not from Herms nor HECTOR4, they're from the Taiwanese guidebook.
Isn't her name written in Taiwanese instead of Japanese? Maybe that's why it doesn't match. Unless what you've got there is Boo in Taiwanese, I don't know.JeffJarrett wrote:What's her name? It's not written Boo (ブウ) in her name, so it's not "Miss Boo".

Her name is 普烏小姐, Chinese for "Miss Boo". It's the Taiwanese guidebook, so it's written in Chinese rather than Japanese.JeffJarrett wrote:What's her name? It's not written Boo (ブウ) in her name, so it's not "Miss Boo".
The sad thing is, this guide isn't even new, it came out way back in 2011. The reason this is only just turning up now is because I'm vacationing in Taiwan and happened to stumble across the guide in a bookstore.HECTOR4 wrote:New guide-book in Taiwan reveal this:

Re: Dragon Ball Online Discussion
Whoa, guess this is what I get for not checking out the other Online thread, cuz this is my first time seeing them. Huh, for some reason Miss Boo (I miss when we were calling her 'Booby'
) looks different than I expected. Definitely wasn't expecting her to be blue. I like the design though.

Re: Dragon Ball Online Discussion
I guess "Booby" is her name in Korean? Because she was definitely called that in some of the info that's popped up, but she only seems to be called "Miss Boo" in the Taiwanese guide.Gyt Kaliba wrote:Miss Boo (I miss when we were calling her 'Booby')

Re: Dragon Ball Online Discussion
Huh, that's interesting. Maybe it's an extremely light censorship? I dunno what the general Taiwanese mindset on it would be, but 'Booby' would be slightly crass to some people, I guess.

No, that seems to have just been a mix up between their baby-making "Booby-Booby" act and her name being jumbled during Google's crappy translation job.

Well, certainly nobody can force you to give due credit. But it is nice and courteous to show some recognition that this stuff doesn't just waft down like manna from heaven.Dr. Machismo wrote: You don't have credit them if you don't want to

Re: Dragon Ball Online Discussion
Well... fuck.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Goodbye, Virtual Dragon World!
The game itself was far from perfect but I'll always have fond memories of my guild and the time I spent in this game with them. As crummy as it sounds, this game will always have a special place in my heart.
I do hope the work they put into this game's story, character design, and music isn't completely lost but only time will tell.
