Can you beat Tao in the first fight in Advanced Adventure?

Is it even possible? I can't do it. He's easy in round 2, but round 1 I can't manage a win.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

I always get my ass kicked. So sorry can't tell you. Never seen anyone do it either. Checked Youtube but you might want to double check.

You are supposed to lose. I once defeated him on the emulator, using save states. The fight stopped and he gave me a final blow.
Tha same goes for first fight against Piccolo Daimaoh.
