Why even bother with this series if you don't like Goku? I have my problems with him and some of his fans, but I still love the guy for what he is. Whether we like it or not Goku is the main character and is the main focus, especially now a days.

It's like he's bashing at all of Goku's achievements. Let's be honest. Goku earned everything he had.

Let's be honest. Goku earned everything he had.

Of course he did. He works hard for everything except the Super God Water (which could have killed him). Goku deserves all the power he has. His drive to be stronger and to always try his best even when he admits he's screwed is why he is so likable.

When has that happen? Only in Boo Arc. When he NEVER tried really till the last minute. Goku never revealed a new form when he returns. He never states he wasn't trying in any other arc.

Kinda like how he got his ass kicked by 19, and had to have Vegeta save him, right?
Or when Vegeta crippled him in the Saiyan Arc, and had to be saved by sheer luck, and his giant naked monkey son.
Or when he was unable to stop Raditz, and all he could do was hold on to him while Piccolo killed him.
Or when he gave up against Cell, and Gohan had to step in.
Or when he couldn't beat Pure Buu, and was only successful in the end due to Vegeta, Mr. Buu, and Mr. Satan stepping in.
Or when Ginyu outsmarted him and stole his body.

Goku only won a few fights in DBZ on his own. He beat Nappa, Jeice, Burter, and Freeza. Every other time he got his ass kicked.

He didn't get his ass kick by Cell, Fat Boo, and Pure Boo(To a degree).

I'll give you Fat Buu, although he still didn't win that fight.
He was in worse shape than Cell was, though, and Cell could have powered up and crushed him at any time. And Pure Buu was playing with him.

'Still wasn't an ass kicking. But I get your point. Goku win-lost record in DBZ was not good at all.

We didnt see Cell kick his ass, but we did see the Cell Jr kick his ass.

I don't know if I'd even consider that a fight. Goku just gave Yakon too much to eat, and he blew up. That's no more of a fight than Freeza deciding to one-shot Krilllin, or Cell taking out Goku with his self destruction.
