Lol, I hate how they try to make this feel like other anime. That alone puts it below GT.

Funny because fans has been calling this the true canon sequel of DBZ. Saying this proves GT is not canon. Yet this is a sequel to DBGT.

That's harsh.Yea he does that. He had a Kaiokenx1000 Oob in mind(Rumors) and I told him it was a bad ide and that some of the plot could have been better. So he blocked me. I know Youtube fans aren't the smartest...and not the most informed. But c'mon. They should know that this is a fan made sequel to DBGT. How could they say this is more canon than GT or this is the true sequel to DBZ? That's just(Sorry VegettoEX going have to say something that is mean) dumb as fuck.

I slummed through the Dragon Ball section of youtube for years before coming to Kanzenshuu. I'm not saying all of the youtube fanbase is terrible regarding Dragon ball. I dare say some of my best debates and conversations about the series have been on youtube but the cons far outweigh the pros as a whole.

Rules of the youtube DBZ fanbase, just to name a few.

*GT is worse than Hitler and Satan combined.

*Absalon is pure awesome sauce.

*SSJ5 is the coolest thing ever.

*Broly is the strongest ever.

*Dragon Ball Hoshi and AF is real and is coming out.

So yeah, I have my reasons for being fed up with the youtube fanbase, most of them anyway.

Anyway, I just watched episodes 1 and 2 of this, and I don't see why this is getting so much hate from you guys. It's not perfect, but it's not horrible and I think it actually has some advantages over other GT followups. For one, after Goku left with Shenron, Gohan, Goten and Trunks have become more serious about training to protect the Earth. The whole conflict with the Shadow Dragons has made them realize that since they can no longer use the Dragonballs, they will have to be more responsible if they want to protect Earth. In Young Jijii's AF, they've gone back to their normal routines, which is a major story flaw. Did their recklessness in using the Dragonballs and Goku's sacrifice teach them anything? Toyble's AF seems to maintain some of the significance of the ending of the Shadow Dragon saga as Gohan seems to have gotten stronger (he can turn Super Saiyan 4 at the beginning of the comic) but not enough of it. While I can't speak for Trunks since we don't know what he was doing at the beginning of the comic, Goten seems to have been unchanged from what happened in the Shadow Dragon saga. Absalon emphasizes on how Goku's sacrifice affected everyone, which makes for a deeper story.

As for the story in Absalon, while I don't understand it fully and I think it can be narrowed to "a bunch of strong guys show, must be defeated" and it feels like a typical, predictable fanfiction, I think a lot of effort was put into it and has depth. Sure, a bunch of new Saiyans have shown up which is predictable, but you know, that's never really happened before if you go by just the manga. I don't like the idea of there being more Saiyans, but I'm just saying. And the complaint that this story is too dark is completely false and unwarranted. The story has an adequate amount of lightheartedness (Uub and his kids playing videogames, Goten and Trunks bickering over a fight and most notably, one of the aliens here seems to be a total comic relief). There are some parts in the story I definitely don't like, like the big timeskip here and Pan and Uub being married. Pan should be no older than a highschooler here, and having her fall for Uub is too random and unneeded. And as I said before, I'm not at all crazy about there being new Saiyans. I'm not sure how I feel about Future Trunks returning.

The animation shouldn't be getting much hate. Seriously, it's a FAN animation. Of course it's not gonna be amazing or perfect or whatever. For a fan animation, this is pretty good. And could you even do better? I do think the characters appear too buff (especially Dende lol), but that's not that big an issue really.

I'm not criticizing the animation. For what its worth I give him credit for that. Its everything thing else and the guy himself I have a problem with. Dude is on a MASSIVE ego trip, blocking any negative feedback or criticism on his deviantart and youtube and blocks anyone who says anything even slightly bad about the series. I asked him why are you bringing back Broly and Buu, especially Buu since Majuub is around, as well as calling him out on the horribly inconsistent form design and the inclusion of our world like South America and Africa and you know what he does? Blows up at me like I murdered a family member, all cause I offered some advice and constructive criticism.

I'm complaining about what he already has in the project, bringing Buu back would only add fuel to the fire that is Absalon.

In one of the EP2 teasers, he had video of Kid Boo chained up like in that image, then looking at the camera with shiny red eyes, with Sizzle saying "you remind me of someone I used to know. I'll bring it to the surface," then Super Boo being "extracted" from Oob into full form, and everyone looking all shocked. He's since taken it down, seeing as it never came up in Episode 2. Judging by the pacing, it'll be episode 3 or 4 by the time he does it, if at all

It is pretty fanfic-y. I get sent a bunch of fanfics/comics to read and 90% of them all resurrect Broli, Boo, Cell, Freeza, and all manner of other dead villains, typically insanely OP compared to their original incarnation (which is what Absalon seems to be heading towards) with no explanation as to why or an outlandish explanation as to why, and with powers they wouldn't/couldn't/shouldn't have (I remember in one Freeza had the ability to regenerate just like Boo. He could also shape shift his limbs). I see about 50-75% of the Broli 'resurrections' involve cloning, which seems to be what is going on here.

I really don't have a problem with the series itself, just little nitpicks, like how out of character the main characters act, and the way Oob is dressed. The animation doesn't even bother me, cuz I know its a fanimation. I'm just personally not a fan of resurrecting old villains, It seems lazy.

My biggest peeves with the series is that he asks people to basically give him money for nothing, and that he responds to negative commentary/ constructive criticism with harsh language, badmouthing, blocking, and lashing out with "you're a cocksucker, you don't know what you're talking about, I did this and its awesome and you're just a dumbass jealous bitch. Fuck you." Even now, I never block or hide negative feedback on my work. That's their opinion, they're entitled to it. I acknowledge the positive and the negative and try to make a better comic for it (when the negative is constructive, not just lame-o trolling). Mellavelli seemed to do the first episode for his enjoyment. Now, with the way he acts to commentary (unless it be nothing but blind praise like "OMFG YESH TRU DBZ SEQUAL DBGT SUCKED THIS NEEDS TO GO TO TOEI AMINASHUNS CUZ U R SO GREAT AND AWEZOMES") shows that he's a bit immature about it and uses it to stroke his ego.

I saw it too. His incentives were pretty stupid. For 100 Euro ($131) You got a name prop in the credits. For 1000 Euro ($1318), you got a dvd and a t-shirt.
