That, and the colour palette makes me want to turn away from the screen and look out the window.
Yeah I was pretty excited to watch this back then and I was pretty disappointed.. This is how I looked like when I saw Goku turning into a kid again...

But then I found out Toriyama wasn't involved with the story and then it made sense.

I actually really liked GT as a kid. Then I grew up. I still think it's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be.

Hellspawn28 wrote:The "I liked it, therefore it's good" defense never works. I like Freddy vs. Jason, but I will never admit that it's not a good movie critically speaking. I see that with fans where they act like something is critically good because they like it.
Yes, but even criticality speaking, those views are still subjective. I think there's plenty things legitimately good about GT. Spider-Man 3 is 63% at Rotten Tomatoes, people apparently hated it, but it still made 890 million at the box-office. Which means people must have enjoyed it.

Also, again, I've noticed every time someone brings up GT whether it's positive or negative or even miscellaneous you respond to every thread on some sort of crusade against it. Did you really hate it that much that you are seemingly trying to convince others to hate as much as you do? Or maybe you like it more than you admit and are embarrassed to admit it or something?

One thing I had a issue with GT's ending was the lack of good flashbacks. Vegeta was ignored completely lol.
Vegeta does get one whole episode to himself though in the Evil Dragon arc. Which deals with his whole past up until the present moment.

It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.

Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.

I know that. But in the ending. He's complete ignored. Goku has flashbacks of everyone but Vegeta. I don't even think Gohan was in it.

Gohan was in it when he killed Cell. But so was Goku so perhaps it was only shown because Goku was there

I did kinda like his small scene with Pan when she's holding Goku's clothes. 'Hold onto that, dear'. And also that he seemingly knows what's up with Goku in the end.

Exactly. It's so simple, and I don't understand how other people can't get this. Sure it's fine if you think it's good and you like it, but I really don't know why people have to come up with excuses for why people hate DBGT. Maybe some people hate it purely for reasons such as AT not writing it, the bandwagon effect, etc. But there's no way you can prove that they'd like it without those things, and so I don't know why people state it like it's a fact.

I think it's just better to give people the benefit of the doubt.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

I have no issue with people not liking it because they just don't. But some people have great reasons not to like it or just follow the people who don't like it so they can look cool. Hence why I think DBGT is so hated because people just followed others who hate it.

But what's your proof of that? It just sounds like something made up to rationalize something that doesn't need rationalization. Even if someone doesn't give reasons you deem good enough or even any reasons at all doesn't mean it's not a genuine dislike.

I don't chose if the reason are good enough. I'm not higher than anyone. So if they think it's bad for a reason then they're justified for that reason. My proof of people saying GT sucks and are just following a crowd. Quite simple. People bash it and never seen 1 episode nor a clip of it. Might has go as far as they never read a plot summary. Wasn't being rational. I was speaking from my own experiences.

Most people bash and hate GT for the same reason people follow trends.. Its just the cool thing to do.

Which palette? Are you referring to the original broadcast colours or the FUNi/DBox colours?
If you have any Canadian dubbed recorded material and would like to preserve it, please PM me!
