As for Cooler, the "I called it!" line and "daddy monkey this, daddy monkey that," were both great.

The all time best for me though is "Is that your son? Imma kill it." "Don't you do it!" "Imma do it!"
Cell has a huge shoes to fill. I really hope he can do it.

Vegeta had a few lines that could have easily fit in the series.

"So have you rusted your pants yet?!"

"Do you androids feel fear? Lets fix that shall we?"

"Looks like I'm a size 19."

Also, nice throwback to the old dub with the push ups and sit ups line.

...DBZ Movie 6?

By the way, looks as though episode 37 is up at the usual places, apart from YouTube. Started watching it on Blip but it was a bit laggy- not sure if it's my computer or if it's the amount of traffic.

Favorite part: "Oh my god, Chiaotzu's dead!"

(cut to Android 19's head)

...of course Trunks immediately ruined it, but I was too busy laughing to pay it any heed.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

I enjoyed this one more than the last few! I noticed the use of video game music which was suggested about on this thread before...

It seems like every even number episode from season 3 are the one's that are spectacular. I still like this one though.

Every time I listen to Kaiser's Trunks I'm wowed. "Oh God! Did she bring me?!"
Though the highlight of the episode was Piccolo and Nail's back and forth on a new name for the Makankōsappō.

The back and forth banter over the androids at the end was the high point for me. Really highlights the ridiculousness of the situation.

"That's not the android."

"Yes he is."

"No he's not."

"Yes I am."

"You stay out of this!"

Loved that bit.

Awesome episode! :D
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

I love how Trunks says crapbaskets, too. That's what hanging around Gohan does to ya!
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

I'm really interested in seeing what Future Gohan will be like. It would be funny if when fighting the Androids, he constantly makes unnecessarily detailed comments that the Androids don't care at all about. And he'll constantly make similar comments with Trunks, who is repeatedly confused by what he's saying.

Trunks: Gohan! Train me! I want to get much more stronger!
Gohan: No.
Trunks: What? Why?
Gohan: You want to get much stronger. Not much "more" stronger. That's bad grammar.
Trunks: ...
Gohan: So, you want to be trained?

And it would be funny if a gag would be Trunks telling Gohan "Gohan, you're supposed to be teaching how to fight. Not *insert academic subject here*" or something in those lines

Awesome episode as always guys.

I'm feeling you'll have quite a great day with this filler character when you get to Great Saiyaman:
