Jaguar and Taro Yamada are in.

If I'm not mistaken, Taro Yamada was a Son Goku parody. So, now we'll be able to make two Son Gokus fight each other.

Well, not really. Gintoki is actually (loosely) based on Kintarô.Nightstar1994 wrote:Three. There is also this guy whose name I forgot that shoots Kamehamehas.Wobbuffet wrote: If I'm not mistaken, Taro Yamada was a Son Goku parody. So, now we'll be able to make two Son Gokus fight each other.

...Huh. Can't say I know either of these characters, but they certainly look...interesting?
How old are the series they're from, actually? They both look kinda retro. And also, over on ANN, someone is mentioning something about one of those two characters being a 'support' character rather than actually being playable. Anyone else heard anything about that? Cuz if so, my hope for some Katsura titles in this may happen yet.

Not the Jaguar I was thinking of...
If Support Characters really are in this game, then there is still hope for Yami Yugi.

Jaguar is from the early-2000s and apparently shared the same special treatment as KochiKame in that it never got cancelled despite how low it ranked in the table of contents. I probably read the same ANN where someone mentioned Taro Yamada's series is from 1993-98. Does that make him the oldest non-DB entry? It almost doesn't feel right to call DB "old," considering how prevalent it's been since properly ending in '95.

gameplay impression

A battle begins and we must say that we were disappointed by the graphics. Although the title is colored with a rather correct modeling of some heroes, coarse and mushy aliasing happens to us ruin the artistic part ... Large pixels litter each contour is a shame, ditto, or worse, during a battle in cooperation. The screen splits in some way and shows huge flaws in the image. Problem with the screen? Single beta? To find out, he will buy the final version of the beast.
However, the gameplay, the universe and the soundtrack is at the top. First, talk about the grip. It is simple, fast and efficient. A button for light attacks, another for heavy, one for jumping and special moves and you are satisfied. Who says fighting game, we mean a combination of keys to unleash devastating attacks. Rasengan by a small one, the Kame Hame Ha and there and voila. Another point sequences can be run as a team to complete a rival with class. In addition, decorations can be completely destroyed and interact with different protagonists.
Noise level is sublime. It screams everywhere, the development studio has used the sounds of different animated in this production, the melodies are rock'n roll, catchy and dynamic, you'll understand that there is nothing to say on this point. J-Stars Victory VS does not draw its strength from its visual rendering, but in a fun way and taking. With its atmosphere of madness, his dubbing of good quality, smooth gestures, petulant and energetic gameplay, this little gem will fill the heart of every lover of jap'animation, video games and brawls.

Bad graphics? Hahahahaha!!!!! WTF!? Either they aren't looking at the right game or they haven't seen the trailers.

Gamekyo's describing technical issues, not the actual quality of the visuals. The game apparently lacks anti-aliasing, and has screen tearing. Given Namco Bandai has yet to even place a release window on this game, I'm going to say those technical issues have a good chance to be fixed before release.hulkty wrote:Bad graphics? When you said official I expected direct feed footage from Namco Bandai, haha.

Jaguar was published from 2000 to 2010, so it's still fresh on people's minds.B wrote:Jaguar is from the early-2000s and apparently shared the same special treatment as KochiKame in that it never got cancelled despite how low it ranked in the table of contents. Chinyuki is really the oldest non-DB series so far. It began publication in 1990, two weeks before Yu Yu Hakusho.
I just watched the videos, and man, those stages look big.
