Yeah, you're right, didn't noticed it. So it's probably a new animated opening that ends with SSJ God Goku, new game's "mascot"

Have not followed Naruto in forever; outfit looks way more functional considering what ninja do, but the trade-off is it looks kinda boring, not eye-catching at all. I now understand why the early one is so bright.

Looking forward to animated 2D opening, and the idea of ssjg Gokû as a mascot is entertaining. X3

I dislike Naruto but an extra costume is always nice. The artwork on the bottom right corner looks great.

That's entirely subjective. I for one am not a fan of Naruto.

Why are people so un-happy about it? He looks pretty badass. It's better than getting the costume with another symbol on it as an alt.

However it's not better than getting the yadrat costume or the EoZ one, It's reverse-fanservice. Heck If they wanted something new they could have given the outfit during before the cell games, or the second outfit he has in Ultimate Butouden.

How does this negate any of those possibilities? This probably isn't going to be the only alternative costume; in fact this should be positive news that, yes, we are in fact getting alternative costumes instead of just pallet swaps.

and Goku rocks it pretty well. Sometimes, I find it hilarious how quickly people have been drawing to conclusions in this thread. I'm not saying this game should get a free pass, NB has a lot to prove after this generation, but you guys are taking something that is supposed to be a fun little bonus and turning it into a negative for no reason.

I rather like Toad Sage Goku, and it makes since that we got considering that piece and Naruto got the same treatment Storm 3. I wonder if Goku will do Kamehameha in the Rasengan stance. Also this doesn't entirely rule out the Yardrat outfit, as the most recent game had it. Though I wonder if the EoZ gi will make it in, 'cause that wasn't in Ultimate Blast.

I think Goku looks better in Naruto clothes than Naruto in Goku clothes.

I like the costume, it looks good! This is probably just a "return the favor" deal considering Naruto had Goku's costume in UN3. I don't think it proves more alternate costumes, though...looks like it only comes with Super Saiyan form, and may be in a selection slot all its own.

Yardrat is also my favorite costume but honestly I welcome this Naruto costume. I don't like Naruto too much but it looks pretty cool honestly. Goku looks better than Naruto in his own costume . Anyway you never know maybe there are people that enjoy Naruto a ton and they would love something like this. It's not a waste because those people do exist and it's something new. It really is better than getting 7 different Goku costumes that look almost the same.

The costume with Goku does look better than Naruto wearing it for sure. It's alright I guess even though I would rather not have Dragon Ball and Naruto mixed together in anything.

Anyone else hoping that this game-type isn't just a one-time thing? I really want to see more of this game style and I kind of don't want to see the BT3/RB Series gameplay again. I've always liked having more players on screen than two people.

Can you imagine how fun clan battles would be? I have always wanted a game like ESF for consoles but unlike ESF, this game will actually be released I am happy the maps are bigger and everything but I do hope there is a lock on system, so if I don't want to be locked on to someone, I can just run around the map. Soon maybe we will get like a DC Universe style DBZ game where you can like freeroam with friends I don't know. It's just refreshing I think to get something other than BT3 with better graphics.

Even though I don't read Naruto and don't care for the series, this is some nice fanservice. And Goku looks really cool with those clothes.

No offense, but the people actually taking Goku in Naruto's outfit as some kind of...offense...you might be taking it all a liiiittttllleee too seriously. It's just a nice little tip of the hat, and as others have said, a 'returning the favor' kind of deal after Naruto had Goku's gi in a recent game. It's nifty.

Besides, it also gives me hope that the game will actually have alternate outfits and not just the alternate color schemes thing.

I know this is a little off topic but: If Battle of Z comes out in 2014 (which might be the case) how does Namco Bandai fulfill their "One game per year" part of their contract? They'll be no dbz games in 2013 if BOZ gets released in 2014 instead.

People always mention this so called "contract" that Namco Bandai has to make a game "One game per year" without ever having a real source. I'm pretty sure the main reason why we get games every year until now is because these games used to make a lot of money. Do you think we would still be getting DBZ games yearly if Budokai bombed back in 2002?

I want to say the "contract" thing came up out of a possible mistranslation from a Nostal/Treevax interview.

Regardless, people forget that this year has seen Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission on the 3DS (which sold very well over a very long time) as well as Tap Battle on Android and iOS.
