My guess is that they wanted to make her more feminine to clarify her role this time. Making her feminine is disappointing to me because it spoils her tomboyishness which I like. So, I felt kinda relieved when I saw her taking a fighting pose in Toriyama's poster.

Speaking of which....How did Videl say she was pregnant? I don't speak Japanese so I was just curious how she went about telling everyone. I don't believe she would just flat out say ''I'm pregnant'' That sounds a little odd no? might be where I'm from too...some people around here wouldn't just flat out say that because it's kinda...kinda...I don't know how to explain it hahahaha

Has anyone else noticed that Videl's breasts are remarkably bigger than before? Uh, sorry, I couldn't help noticing and pointing it out.

Due to being pregnant they're larger as they're starting to store milk, they'll go back to regular size after weening the child.

Well, there are many possibilities.

A. She's just off model.

B. She's pregnant, and thus her boobs have grown.

C. They grew as she got older.

D. At one point, she started feeling insecure in her femininity due to the increase of body-conscious entertainment targeting women her age. So, one day she left her house and went on a quest to find all seven Dragonballs without telling anyone. It was actually a dangerous journey, where she met many questionable figures and the perils of the world. In the end, after discovering a plot to overthrow the King of the World and thwarting it thusly, she collected all seven balls and summoned the dragon. She wished for larger breasts, only to find that it did not make her feel any more like a woman; in fact, she realized that giving into her insecurity merely devalued her as not only a great fighter, but as a strong, independent woman. In the end, she grew as a person.

She kept the breasts, though, because Gohan liked them.

Does it matter? If Akira Toriyama didn't want the moon cause he didn't want to time a full moon every month. I doubt he cares on what time does woman start to store milk in their chest. Point is there is a baby in her belly and she stores milk now.

Well, I just got done watching and damn, I'm impressed.

They nailed the DB humour, the fights were fantastic despite those horrible 3D effects that popped up every now and again and it was nice to see familiar faces popping up e.g. Pilaf etc.

I'm glad they didn't play up SSJGod too much, it felt appropriately used and it didn't negate the other forms at all.

I have to say, I did laugh at the ~~Kawaii** sparkles around Goku when he first changed.

The speech between Goku and Vegeta at the end was just great.

Fantastic film! And...I'm gonna go watch it again.

Let's be completely honest: The likelihood of us getting BoG in theaters out here, even a LIMITED release, is incredibly low.

I just hope that, once the Blurays and DVDs are released in the states, those people will make the decision to purchase them and support the film. Unless they really didn't enjoy it, in which case... well, I suppose that's too bad.

Either way, I'll buy an NA Bluray when it's released. I enjoy supporting the show and the prospect of getting another movie.

How did I know that, as I scrolled through new comments and came across discussion on Videl's boobs, that Scarz was sure to make an appearance?

Jokes about that aside, it did take me a while to get used to Videl's look overall. She just looks completely different compared to how I'm used to her looking. Now though, I think she looks pretty cute like this - and I'm sure her personality is still somewhat tough, when the occasion arises, so I'm fine with her feeling like getting a makeover or something.

And yeah, definitely buying this the second it can finally get released here. Still burning with envy here. Grrrrr.

Jeeze... am I the ONLY one here who actually enjoyed most of the fighting? The biggest issue I took was that some of it just moved too fast and was obstructed by that OBNOXIOUS SSJ GOD AURA.

Oh, and yeah. That aura was awful; really wish they'd just animated it traditionally.

The choreography could use some work but the style was really unlike most of what we saw in the original animated series. I really liked it, especially the cave portion of the Goku and Beerus fight.

Yes it is! But I haven't seen english subtitles available yet.
The guys who do fansubs for naruto confirmed they are doing it. I saw the chinese fansub already so I'm good. I cracked up at the ox king's comment on Bulma, saying how she seems to gain a few pounds after every birthday party.

I thought the movie was great and had a lot of fun. Yes, it drags a bit in the beginning, but they were definitely setting up the new characters and world-building. Speaking of the characters, I thought Bills was an excellent antagonist and fit right in Toriyama's tone and existing cast. And all of the VAs brought their A-game of course. Super Saiyan God is a neat concept, and I actually liked how it wasn't a permanent power-up, and didn't even win the fight. The "12 Universes" thing is something I hope we'll see explored more someday...

Personally, I was just happy to see new feature-length DragonBall in shiny new theatrical animation. Yes, it doesn't have that slightly clunky/dirty cel-drawn charm of the 90's anime, but I surprised by how good the movie looked in places. It's no Ghibli, but it looked great.

I plunked down my cash for the movie and got pretty much what I was looking for and then some; I'm hoping we'll see more DragonBall features in the future!
