I kinda agree. With all the hype SSG GOD got. You think they would't have him get his ass kicked. I understand Birsu is strong as fuck and Goku hates the SSG form but damn.

Exactly. At least SSJ3 gave a hell of a fight to Fat Boo, Super Boo, and Kid Boo even though it failed. SSJ God didn't put up too much of a fight. I find it funny how the fight gets much better once SSJ God wore off. The God form had the worst fight.

Personally? I believe they're just setting up for a sequel. Bills sleeps for three more years, wakes up, and takes on Goku again. Meanwhile, Goku has been traveling to other dimensions, maybe with the others, and honing his power?

I want this to be true. Beers is so much fun, and ssjg Gokû is so cute, having them both back for a sequel and on a bigger budget would be wonderful. *u*

Goku pretty much rushed into battle after obtaining God mode, it's not like going Super Saiyan where you're really able to control it. This, like SSJ3 will require severe training before he can stay in the form for long periods of time as right now it's not very long and appears to be very draining like SSJ3. I'm sure if BOG 2 arrives he would have mastered it or at least able to sustain it in the time frame.

I hope so. I'm not saying the movie was bad. I'm just saying watching a one sided fight isn't fun. I finally see the god form in action, and it doesn't put up a fight. Strictly as an action scene I was bored watching Birus pummel Goku. With SSJ3 Goku it made sense and was perfectly fine, with SSJ God Goku it's was just one god beating up another. When I think of Gods clashing I think an epic battle that can go either way as their overwhelming power clashes. Here it was so obvious that Goku was going to lose that the twist of Goku actually not winning isn't so special. If Birus was fighting equally with Goku and then mentioned Goku only did so well because he was holding back I would be satisfied. Instead Goku got smacked around and brought no challenge or excitement. (excluding post SSJ God).

I'm really getting sick of restating my point. "AS A FIGHT SCENE" I didn't enjoy the SSJ God fight as it was so one sided. I don't care for reasons or excuses. The battle was one sided and boring. Two Gods should have the potential to make a spectacular battle. Instead it was Birus beats up Goku and Goku couldn't do shit. That isn't fun. I would much rather have the fight be close with Birus edging out a victory, and then he would say he was only using 70% of his power.

So I just finished watching it, and I fucking loved it. Probably the best of the Z Movies. Bilus is just a really cool character, and I loved all of the stuff with him trying to "train" Goku and find out what drives him. Some people seemed to dislike the fact that Goku lost, but I thought it fit with the story.

Because Goku ALWAYS WINNING gets old. Sure, it's a Shounen trope that the hero always comes out on top, in the end. But if you keep that up, over and over... it gets to the point where you just sort of expect it to happen and it takes out some of the drama.

Here, Goku is just up against someone that is outside his realm. Sure, he makes a huge advancement before the film is over

but for him to make up for such a gap in power would have not just been an ass-pull, it would have been totally boring.

In a way, though, Goku still saves the day. He gives up his pride, he takes on Bills one on one as SSJ God, and saves the world from being destroyed by making good with Bills. There's still a victory; just not in terms of winning the fight.

This is also why I love Bills as a character. He's not necessarily Evil, just selfish and prone to destruction as he is a god raised to do so.

I thought the movie was pretty good. This may be my favorite DBZ movie to date because I really like all of the funny moments and the fight scenes were really well done. I think the movie had a good run time since the movie would start to drag if they made it two hours long. It was nice to have a original story then rehash old ideas or have the fights end in a one sided battle like the past DBZ movies.

Why does it bother you so much? It was a one-off thing; it's not like they're saying he can do that for any sustained amount of time nor without the help of a rage burst.

Probably not a good idea to go around asking for bootlegs. Either wait for an English release or don't talk about it on here.

The whole damn point of the "YOU ARE NUMBAA WAN" speech in the Buu arc was Vegeta acknowledging that Goku is just plain better, and he's learned to live with it. If Vegeta is suddenly stronger than Goku, why even HAVE higher forms of Super Saiyan? Sorry, but Vegeta just isn't nearly as powerful as Goku. SSJ3 is higher than SSJ. End of story.

This is why the new manga ending was bullshit. "I'll beat you some day!" No, no you won't. That was the entire point of just a few chapters ago, that you knew you couldn't.

That what I said when I first saw the movie and told people how it went. Goku gets taken out of action. Comes back with BIG power. Saves the day. The only differ is that he lost the fight but save the day. Besides taking on a GOD with that power and not being destroyed within 3 seconds is better than anything Goku has done in the past.

This is also why I love Bills as a character. He's not necessarily Evil, just selfish and prone to destruction as he is a god raised to do so.

I THINK someone who helped with the movie was a Vegeta fan. That's what I heard on this website. So...bias? Also I found it hard to believe that anyone can catch up to Goku. Also find it hard that Goku and Vegeta(Not counting SSG power) can surpass Vegetto.

Hold on, did the Manga ever say anything about his power boosts being attributed to his hybrid nature? Did the ANIME ever say that?

Furthermore, I stand by what I said. Emotion has, many times, unleashed an UNBELIEVABLE amount of power from many of the characters. If you'll notice, after that barrage, he loses his Super Saiyan form. As such, I suggest that in that moment, he unleashed every bit of his power. Unlike Son, who went at him fully powered up, but mostly calm and collected.

Yes, Vegeta has learned to live with Goku being stronger than him. That doesn't mean Vegeta wouldn't get some pleasure out of, if even for a moment, being stronger than him. This is more realistic.

And SSJ3 IS indeed stronger than SSJ2. But as I said before: In that instance, he was stronger. Most likely because he used all his energy in that one barrage. I honestly do not see the problem with that.

Pretty much that and Gohan's came from taping into his hidden powers that were established since the beginning of Z. Vegeta on the other hand got it randomly out of nowhere. Maybe he had himself injected with human blood so he could be a half breed.
