If Piccolo singed(Not the screenshot) he would had topped Vegeta in this movie by FAR. I wonder what happen if 6 pure hearted Humans did a dance. To become a Human GOD

Meh I think Piccolo would have to do a dance to top Vegeta. Vegeta did a song and dance number.

Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.
So, for those who bought the special edition, how are the extras?
Ugh, I despise the people who downloaded this film instead of buying it like a true fan (just feeling bitter because I'm still waiting for my copy and it seems like everyone on the internet has seen it now). I probably would've downloaded and watched it by now too if I didn't think it'd ruin the experience of opening it up and watching it for the first time.

Piccolo singing is less likely than Vegeta dancing. For peat sake the man sang his own theme song. Piccolo never singed before. Wait can Nameks get drunk o_O.
Man I'm still a bit bummed out that Krillin and Yamcha didn't try to help attack Birus.. Was anyone else a bit confused when Gohan suddenly had on his fighting gi when he was in his saiyaman outfit earlier? He really is a superhero huh?
And about that Vegeta boost, it also looked like Birus had his guard down. He wasn't expecting to get hit by Vegeta. His face was like

Extras on the disc or physical? The latter, well, the figure is cool, so are the post cards that I won't ever actually use. The booklet is something I can't read but has cool pictures. The former, well, the Blu-ray is barebones. The only "extras" it as are a lot of trailers and some character designs. The extra disc is cool because I now have a legal version of the Jump special on DVD, so that's neato, but the rest are things I can't understand. So, I guess really cool if you know Japanese and only kind of cool if you only speak English.

Yeah I was like "When the hell did he switch to his gi." Did he wear the Saiyaman suit over the Gi with his party attire over the Saiyaman suit.

Due to budget reasons Krillin and Yamcha did not fight. Gohan has a button I think.

So he can practice changing super fast. But he can't train. Gohan is smartest dumbass. He has SUper speed anyways so if someone is in danger just rescue them.

Yeah, I was wondering about the on-disc extras.
Were the trailers and TV spots simply the ones on the official website or were there a couple of others?
I'm quite interested in what the other stuff was on the extra disc. It's quite cool that they included the Jump special and they even dedicated a couple of pages to it in the booklet.
But in terms of the physical extras, I though the post cards would look really cool framed. I thought the wall figure was neat but perhaps a tad underwhelming, of course, I don't know that for sure since I haven't seen it in person

Gohan has what I call bi-fighting disease. Sometimes he's okay with fighting and sometimes he's not, he for some reason can't make up his mind.

Yeah, the trailers are just a bunch of the trailers that were released and TV Spots. I think the extras on the bonus disc are just like, behind the scenes stuff and interviews. Julian would know better than me though since he actually speaks Japanese.

I absolutely loved Bills! This is by far one of my favorite DB characters of all time, with his unique design and personality. I hope he (and Whis) return if they make another movie.

The post cards are a nice size, they're big without being unwieldy.
The problem with the wall figure imo is that since it's supposed to be more a part of the background it's attached to, it creates a warped perspective figure-wise. Also the face doesn't look nearly as good as it did in the pencil-sketch. I like how the hair came out though.
*Awaits a release date for that DX ssjg figure*.
Honestly though, I would love a ssjg Goku cu-poche figure. I bought one of those recently and they are amazing (detail's incredible, they come with 3 changeable faces/sets of hands, and their feet have magnets in them!). I know it won't happen though, because while I find ssjg Goku adorable, I don't think he'd be able to breech that tier of ultra-cute required for some of those chibi-figure brands. T_T

Ugh, I despise the people who downloaded this film instead of buying it like a true fan (just feeling bitter because I'm still waiting for my copy and it seems like everyone on the internet has seen it now). It's not like I'm not going to buy it when Funimation (hopefully, eventually) releases it.

But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

Yeah, I know. Most DB fans probably will. Was just having a joke since I'm still sitting around waiting for mine.

I bought it, ripped it to my computer, then downloaded a version online with what I thought were the best subs, ripped the subs, then put them on the ripped version I owned. I forked over the cash for the Blu-ray Limited Edition so I can say I'm a true fan. I did not or will not give links to the download I used. If people wanna find online versions, they gotta find it themselves. I only did it for subs.

Same.. I mean in truth, the days of watching anime online (especially Dragon Ball) are looong behind me. Battle of Gods being an exception because I just had to see it and I lack the funds to import it.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.
