Well it's confirmed now. East Kaioshin can't be sensed.

Kaiosama: You guys can't feel a god's presence.

In the beginning of the film Kaiosama says the Kaioshins are indeed gods like Birusu (They create life and stars, while Birusu destroys them).

Wis also confirms Gohan can turn SSJ (Outside of the ritual). I will just take that it doesn't increase his power at all.

Don't you remember what he did when he first met Mr. Popo?

At the beginning of this movie, Goku became arrogant and boastful because he was very confident of being the strongest in the entire universe, which was the same when he met Mr. Popo. Goku loses and again learns that there is always someone better, and he decides to train to defeat the stronger someday. That's originally what Dragon Ball is all about, and why BoG impressed me so much. It's not about some bland villains showing up and saving the earth again.

I think I will likely watch the movie again and show it to my friends. I will buy it on Blu-Ray for sure when it comes out. I do love Birsu now since he was neither good or evil. He is tons of fun and he's my favorite DBZ villain in a long time. To me, this movie was a nice fresh air after the awful Bardock episode and the mediocre remake of Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans.

Yeah I was like "When the hell did he switch to his gi." Did he wear the Saiyaman suit over the Gi with his party attire over the Saiyaman suit.
Gohan's watch, man.

That's because his watch had his battle gi inside it, not his Saiyaman outfit.

I really enjoyed the movie. It had some great scenes and some stand out fight sequences at times. That being said, did anyone find the production values to be pretty atrocious over all? There is some seriously gnarly shit going on. That and the film making in general wasn't great either. A lot of really flat/uninteresting shots of what should be really tense/dramatic moments.
Considering the jump super anime tour special looked pretty great, I wonder what happened.

I wish SSJG Goku's hair was a little redder and less magenta. His red eyes are neat, though.

I love the scene where we follow Goku's Kamehameha around Kaio's planet.

No way. The JSAT special looked inferior to BoG. It had really badly animated opening animation, some One-Piece-esque off-model people (citizens in the city,) and weird color palettes that look like film footage produced 30 years ago.

At the beginning of the year if you asked me which was going to be the better film, Rebuild of Evangelion 3.0 or Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, I would have stuck a stalagmite through your esophagus for suggesting the latter could even compete. But it's way, way better.

But the watch isn't even visible on his regular attire. It just magically appears when Gohan has the Saiyaman outfit on. Seems stupid to wear Saiyamans outfit under his clothes but have the gi in a watch.

Though your probably messing with me aren't you.

Good god vegeta's waist. Also it's not as if BoG's incidentals looked any better than the ones in JSAT. If anything they are equally bad.

Little bit. I just like the idea of using the watch to store a battle gi in case a fight breaks out.

@radrappy Oh my god. Gohan's face.

So you bring up an in-between that is meant to be bad and a particular badly drawn group shot for an unfair comparison. That's ridiculous. Also, that opening looks terrible in motion.

LOL. I wonder how many other shots like that are in there. Overall, Battle of Gods has a more superior animation. It just seems so much more fluid when compared to the jump special. I mean this one had a lot of money to use.

Larger budget = better animation.

Oh. Yeah, Gohan, that's just, errrr, wow...

But yeah, definitely not the fairest comparison. It's all down to tastes and how it looks in motion, I think. The styles are quite different and Battle of Gods probably had ten times the budget of the Jump Special. To be honest, I think both of them have really nice backgrounds. The Jump Special has those awesome pencil drawn ones and BOG has really vibrant and detailed settings.
