Exclusive scenes in the manga version.

Post by Linnom » Mon Sep 23, 2013 1:07 pm

Anyone know all the stuff the manga have who never appear in the anime version?
I know about few things like:

The "mad wolf" technic who Goku used against Jackie Chum.
The diferences in the Great Saiyaman saga.
Karin gave the God Water for Goku in manga.
Freeza killed Cargo in manga, in the anime was Dodoria.
Tenshinhan Mafuba was broken in manga, in the anime he used against Drum.

Anyone who remember more things exclusives in manga, please post in this thread.

The scene where Zarbon tells Vegeta that Freeza can transform. In Z and Kai, he doesn't.

Yet the Anime acts as though he did. Was it deleted?

I don't think this is a really "manga exclusive", it's rather an anime exclusive but the first SSJ transformation was much shorter in the manga than the anime, as the anime contained tremendous amounts of filler.

Most likely they just forgot they hadn't included that scene.

how ? do you mean when vegeta told him to transform ?
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

There's a scene in the Freeza fight who Vegeta ask for Freeza to trasform in both anime and manga.

I guess a way to give an in universe explanation would that in the anime, Vegeta already knew that knowledge before coming to Namek.

Or, we just didn't see the scene.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

There is that short Christmas strip that has the Super Warriors with Kaio playing hide-and-seek while Lunch searches for Tenshinhan.

It's from Weekly Shōnen Jump 1991 #3/4, which was the last issue of calendar year 1990. Lunch was in a short strip drawn for the "Forget-the-Year's-Cares Jump Character Competition — Short Gag Land" feature of the magazine. The strip depicted various characters back on Earth going about their ordinary lives (including blonde Lunch looking for Tenshinhan), and was the last time Toriyama would draw her until the Kanzenban release.

Yeah, that's one part that filler actually benefited the Anime among others.

There a scene in the manga that Freeza elbows SSJ Goku. It was right before Goku punched him in the gut.

In their first encounter Goku hits Yamcha into the manga panel. That doesn't happen in the anime.

How could they have done that in the anime? Maybe change it to Goku smashing through the TV screen and shattering it?

More like Yamcha comes towards the screen and hits it, cracking it before he collapses.
