In the Latin dub when Birusu wonders if Goku can beat Freeza, he says this:
"In your current state I don't think you can beat anyone".
This implies he is suppressed to almost nothing. It sure is interesting.

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.
I think the dub would be funnier for that moment based on Beerus saying 'You're out of tune", which I could believe happening a lot more for Sabat's Vegeta than Horikawa's.Gyt Kaliba wrote:Sabat's actually a pretty decent singer, depending on the song, like in that example that Gonstead posted. Though, I am expecting it to sound more awkward than Horikawa's, but given that Vegeta is completely awkward and out of his element in that scene as it is, I'm fine with that.
Knowing Funimation's bi polar OST(Sometimes they dub the OST and sometimes they just used the original audio). They might use Ryo H's Vegeta for that song OR a very very very very very very very very funny song from Sabat. If he does it. I'm calling it now. It's in his narration voice which sounds like Yamcha. This should be good.dbzfan7 wrote:I can't see Sabat singing as Vegeta in that gruff voice.
If it was an insert song, I could see it go either way. But since Vegeta literally leaps on stage and starts singing in-story, I can't see them not dubbing it.TheGmGoken wrote:Knowing Funimation's bi polar OST(Sometimes they dub the OST and sometimes they just used the original audio). That MIGHT be the majority thinking. But you can't put EVERYONE in that category. I hated the fighting(Until SSJ Goku vs Birsu) is this movie but liked the fact it wasn't just ki. Just saying. Everyone got their own reasons to disliking something. I don't know why everyone assumes that people who dislike the film wanted Goku to save the day(Which in fact what he did in this movie), Ki spam(which is funny because DBZ Manga and even anime to a degree didn't spam ki), SSG, or not like the other movies. No lots of people have their own reason for disliking the movie. So please don't assume that everyone just wanted Ki spam and the same basic thing. Cause this movie(Besides the gags) was kinda the same thing as well.perucho1990 wrote:The reasons of the dislikes of the movie is because of the outcome of Goku vs Bills, not enough KI SPAMMING, in other words they wanted something very generic :
A bad guy appears, beats Goku, beats every Goku's friends, then Goku comes back and beats the bad guy due to asspull or Genkidama : which is the usual pattern in DBZ...
Wasn't there music(Fun Bingo) KINDA playing on the background. I watched Angel Beats and they didn't dub over the musical scenes which could of been dub.If it was an insert song, I could see it go either way. Saw responds from the Latino Forums of DBZ, they said "BILLS WAS TOO STRONK, KAKAROTO TOO WEAK"TheGmGoken wrote:

Goku gets taken out of action
Goku friends try and lose
Goku come back with BIG power(Or about to get big power)
Everyone is like "OH YES! YES! YES! GOKU IS HERE!" "THINGS IS GOING TO BE OKAY!"
Goku loses and everyone is like *GASP*(Cell Arc, Saiyan Arc, and almost Freeza arc)
Goku saves the day without winning a fight(He had help in Saiyan Arc, I'll give him Freeza, Cell he held Gohan hand, He had GenkiDama, and This movie. He earned Birsu's respect thus not destroying Earth)
Wasn't there music(Fun Bingo) KINDA playing on the background. I watched Angel Beats and they didn't dub over the musical scenes which could of been dub.
What are you talking about. Most of the fights in the Cell Arc barely had ki blast in there. The Boo Arc anime didn't have a whole lot of ki either.Cell Saga Arc and Majin Buu Arc in the anime there were tons of Ki spamming.....
Birsu respected Goku that's why he didn't destroy Earth. I belive that was a subject here doing the summer. Many agreed it was respect that he didn't blow up Earth not lack of energy. Birsu was NEVER bad. In fact he's good just with a short temper. Also as I said even if we go by "lack of energy" statement. Goku STILL saved the day. Goku was fighting Birsu yes? That means Goku still causes Birsu lack of energy and thus SAVED THE DAY as always.Bills was almost out of power and thats why he didnt destroy Earth, in other words Goku and Co got lucky and later Bills turns good and becomes Nakama, DAT Goku also known as the father of the talk no jutsu...
When did Goku NOT used strategy in a fight? The only thing i disliked about this movie was the SSJGod form, just meh. I liked the way Goku used the instant transmission and being more smart(using strategy), which he admitted toward the end of the movie...
Angel Beats! isn't even done by Funimation though, that dub was done by Sentai Filmworks.TheGmGoken wrote:I watched Angel Beats and they didn't dub over the musical scenes which could of been dub.
But was it really though? Considering the later revelation that Beers wasn't even fighting at 70% power makes the idea that he had completely exhausted every last bit of energy he had seem rather far-fetched to me. No, I see it more as him just genuinely not wanting to destroy the Earth anymore, and just being kinda tsundere about it.perucho1990 wrote:Bills was almost out of power and thats why he didnt destroy Earth, in other words Goku and Co got lucky
It was? opps my mistake. Could of swore I saw the funimation logo. Or am I'm thinking of Lucky StarSaiyamanMS wrote:Angel Beats! isn't even done by Funimation though, that dub was done by Sentai Filmworks.TheGmGoken wrote:I watched Angel Beats and they didn't dub over the musical scenes which could of been dub.
Vegeta vs Perfect Cell, 2nd Half of Goku vs Cell.

Well in way he got "converted" by Goku, but Goku admitted his defeat..., Goku both won and lost at the same time, Old Kaioshin said Goku had that ability of turning bad people into NakamaBirsu respected Goku that's why he didn't destroy Earth. The first fight with Bills, vs Mr Popo, the first fight vs Tamborine, and every fight in GT(if u count it)When did Goku NOT used strategy in a fight?
Cell Arc: That's just and a half fights. Out of what? 12 fights?Vegeta vs Perfect Cell, 2nd Half of Goku vs Cell.
Goku vs Vegeta 2, Goku vs Fat Buu, Chou Gohan vs Buutenk
Goku admitted defeat before. Not that big of a deal as people make it out to be. Also as I said. Goku SAVED the day again. Nothing changed really. Goku lost the fight but somehow he saved the day.Well in way he got "converted" by Goku, but Goku admitted his defeat..., Goku both won and lost at the same time, Old Kaioshin said Goku had that ability of turning bad people into Nakama
3 fights(Don't count GT) out of all of Goku fights....The first fight with Bills, vs Mr Popo, the first fight vs Tamborine, and every fight in GT(if u count it)
