Official On-Going DBZ 2013 Movie Thread: "Battle of Gods"

I found this film to be quite entertaining. I enjoyed the idea that no matter how strong Goku became, there are still stronger beings out there.

Before I got to watch this film, I presumed that Lord Bills and Whis would be boring characters. Boy, was I wrong. Bills and Whis were fun, entertaining characters. I wouldn't mind them returning in the future.

One of the things that made me smile would be the fact that Vegeta was willing to throw his pride away to stop Lord Bills from destroying Earth. It proved how much he had changed.

When Whis mentioned the Saiyans in the beginning of the film, he said that most of them lived on Earth. While I understoo that Tarble and Gure are on another planet; could this mean that there are more Saiyans out there besides Tarble and our heroes?

I would have no problem with other Saiyans being alive, but I am tired of them. For now though, I'm just going to take it to mean Tarble isn't on Earth and maybe include Tullece, Paragus and Broli as still being out there too since their movies can't work with the main timeline.

I would have no problem with other Saiyans being alive, but I am tired of them. For now though, I'm just going to take it to mean Tarble isn't on Earth and maybe include Tullece, Paragus and Broli as still being out there too since their movies can't work with the main timeline.

Provided they ditch Broly entirely. I can only imagine the hell that would be unleashed if Broly became canon. Id leave it at Tullece and Paragus. If they did bring Broly back id like to see his whole LSSJ thing utterly removed. Just make him a Saiyan that was born a Super Saiyan instead of that big LSSJ form.

It sold 560.000.00 for now with 116.000 attendance in one week!.

Here are the charts. by the way this is only one movie theather. Supercines, there´s another one named Cinemark which is also screening Battle of Gods, there are no released charts of that one but we can almost asure it´s more or less the same number as it´s a popular one too!.

This is pretty much where I'm at. I have no problems believing that more Saiyans survived. At the same time though, I'm not really eager to see more of them either, unless something were done where they had a story of their own that had nothing to do with our main cast. Even then though, I'd rather see some non-Saiyans get some spotlight.

My copy finally arrived! But, unlike a majoirty of the people who have gotten it here. I went with the regular edition Blu-ray, so I took about 10 photos of it to show everything in there and another 10 for the Soundtrack. I'll put it in spoiler tags as to not clutter the page or potentially slow it down. Sorry if the pictures are kinda iffy. Only camera I have on me is the one on the iPhone. I also had to position everything weird since the back camera is better than the front from my experiences, so I used that.

EDIT: So I've been watching a couple of clips that were recorded by South American fans inside the theatres, just to listen to the reactions of the crowd (C'mon, I'm allowed to. I own the DVD already. ), and wow, it must be so much cooler to watch this film at the cinema with hundreds of other fans. The audience literally erupted into applause when Vegeta begins his assault. Another clip I saw had people clapping at the Toei Animation logos before a surprised "Whaaa-" when the 20th Century Fox logo popped up. There was a massive cheer when Toriyama's name appeared though.

The reception for this film seems really positive over there. Really gives you an idea of how much they love the series.

I finally watched the movie today! maan that was AMAZING. All the character development, all the humor, DAT FIGHT SCENES!!. DAT MUSIC!!! AMAZING!!


By the way to those who watched the movie on latino movie theathers. Was the sound a little like, bad quality? in the movie theather I went to, the music was really low and the sound quality was not that good. there was also Ghosting. did that happen to you guys on other latino countries too?
