No. Not sure where you got that from...? It's been advertised as 360, PS3, and Vita from the very beginning.

When I see it in motion, the game looks really good. I'm still iffy about the controls but when there in my hands, I'll see for myself. Interesting video too, except he said it's a exclusive to the PS3 which it's not. They must have only been showing the game off on PS3's.

Gameplay looks OK, beams still look crappy.

They have until 2014 so not all hope's lost.

A DBZ game with this sort of gameplay could be fun and and an enjoyable story mode whether for the actual series/manga or a new story.
I know that this is really, really, really, really, really, reeeeeally old, but... I have to comment on this. I used to own Crimson Tears. It was massively repetitive, extremely dull, and within 15 minutes you'd done everything, gameplay wise, there was to do. One of the least interesting Action RPGs I've ever played.

Anyway, on topic - First DBZ game I've had a chance to really get hyped about before release in a while, since I've not owned anything newer than a PS2 until recently (and even yet, I still don't own it. Stupid layaway requiring you to pay off your purchase before you can have it   ) getting a PS3. And yet... I'm not all that hyped. What I've seen of it so far seems basically more of the same, just with up to 8 characters on the screen at once. Which could prove interesting in the end, but so far doesn't seem to be much more than a gimmick.

And, once a gain, we have a game with an engine that would make for an excellent action/adventure game, and it's being used strictly for a fighting game. Disappointing.

He didn't say it was exclusive to the PS3, just that it was for the PS3. Meaning that's the version he was playing.

Edit
Nevermind, hadn't gotten that far in the video.... Yeah, maybe it was just the PS3 version there, then, and he assumed it was exclusive because of that?

Phew, thank you. Seen that somewhere on some youtube or facebook profile and got hit with paranoia as I'm going on PS4 nextgen, because Sony gets all that awesome stuff and 360 was simply a mistake.
Not to mention, that I've played same fighting games on both consoles and 360 controller is really shitty as it is huge for me to play effectivelly....

1) It's always been known that BoZ is available for 360, PS3 and Vita.
2) PS4 isn't backwards compatible with PS1, PS2 or PS3. If anything then it'll be through Gaikai service with a fee.
3) The DualShock controller is great for retro gaming / 2D fighters and X360 controller for modern gaming. It's not really a big controller.

Another reason why I STILL doubt they won't be pre-order exclusives.

What if they are? I guess mods will have to save the day. Even though seriously. What if they aren't? I seriously doubt it since that would ruin the Boo Arc(even though the game is a what if...in a way). Still...what if....they are pre order. Also SSJ Bardock seems most likely to be a POE or a DLC. But Vegetto? Hell Naw.

I think what you are trying to say is there isn't enough information on the subject to make an informed statement on the subject. It sounds like the pre-order offers were for Japan; given that this was for TGS that would make a lot of sense. Chances are you will get the same benefits outside of Japan as well with pre-order bonuses coming from Gamestop(or where ever). Something as trivial as Super Saiyan Vegetto isn't going to be pre-order only; I mean how many people pre-order these games I'm sure Namco-Bandai isn't that crazy. It will probably be a "well if you pre-orded you get first dibs, while everyone has to wait a few months." Again, there is no way to judge yet.

What I will say is that this is like the worst way to do pre-order DLC. At least SSj Vegetto is. Naruto-Goku, is a good pre-order incentive and is similar to the way Warner Bros. handles alternative Batsuits for their Arkham games. However, limiting a character like SSj Vegetto, who is both popular and powerful is kind of wrong. You're limiting content and giving those who pre-order a competitive edge. DLC should either be new bonus content that is an extension of what was originally made or fun trivial things that don't hurt the experience for those who can't or chose not to have it. A good example of this would be the DLC seen with Borderlands 2 or Skyrim.

Via Kanzenshuu's main page, for people who don't seem to read it:
In addition to this, the European branch of Namco-Bandai has revealed that customers pre-ordering the game will receive two additional characters: Super Vegetto and Super Saiyan Bardock.

In North America, the two characters will be made available via retailer-specific pre-order deals, with more info to come as the game heads toward release.
And the actual tidbit from the US press release:
Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z will also be offered with special Pre-Order bonuses. Exclusive characters Super Vegito and Super Saiyan Bardock will be available in different pre-order programs at participating retailers. These characters have proven to be fan favorites with popular attacks and character storylines. Additional details regarding how and where to pre-order Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z to receive Super Vegito or Super Saiyan Bardock will be announced in the near future.
Sadly it seems to be one or the other for us in the US, not both in one package. :/

SSj Bardock and Vegito might be on the disc DLC. So I'm hoping they will be free to download for the people who don't pre-order the game.

They just make DLC to make DLC. They clearly have enough time to add those two characters for free in the game. DLC are made for additional content they hadn't time to add in the game before its actual release or for very special bonus content such as Goku in the Naruto Sage Mode outfit.

Grrr I don't like the way they're doing the DLC. It should be additional characters that did not make the final cut of the roster that should be DLC. For example, movie characters like Hatchyack, Bojack or Android 13 could be DLC. But essentials for the story mode like Super Vegito being DLC is just flat out dumb.
