Think of it as an early DLC exclusive and then the later owners will have to wait weeks or months till they get the characters on the marketplace to download.

Super Saiyan God Goku would make more sense being a DLC character than Super Vegito.

Do you think that it will be like Rb2 where they will give codes on facebook or something?
Someone hit me up when Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, Chiaotzu :lolno:, Goten, Buu, and Gohan :!: :!: :!: become relevant again :?

When did they do that? A while back I was trying to hunt down for DLC codes to get the special costumes but nothing.

I wonder if by using a gamesave I could get these costumes.

I'm disappointed they'd made Super Saiyan Vgito and Bardock as pre-order bonuses. It makes me think they don't have confidence in the game. The Goku with Naruto's costume makes sense...thats a new look and there are probably licensing reasons to limit that to pre-order. But Vegito and Bardock? No reason to do it other than lack of confidence.

No, DLC is made for people who are willing to buy their games in bits and pieces. ALL DLC should be part of the original game, and not be an extra for extra money. Every single piece of DLC is just "Oh, we didn't finish the game in time for release, but instead of delaying it and finishing it let's just put it out as is and then charge people extra money to get the rest of the material to have a complete game!" nonsense. The entire thing is a scam, plain and simple. The thing that surprises me is that people have actually bought into it.

The DLC will most likely be released for Non-Preorders at a later date. I dunno why everyone is getting so upset over this.

That cover looks so awkward.
It would be slightly better if Trunks and Broly weren't in the cover.

I liked the other cover better, here's hoping for reversible covers.

Broly and Trunks are on the top, two very small characters next to the title.

If that's the case, then you clearly see how big assholes the companies are, like Capcom which pissed me most, but normal good games are complete games, with DLC being made later as bonus, like some costumes, additional character or short additional story. Also, those games usually are supported for long time onwards, so if you buy the game two years after the release, you can still grab the DLC.
I think that these small companies or small profit games should be stripped down from the right to even make DLC's, unless it is repairing patch. Or better, to not developing anymore DB games, it will save them money and our growing grudge.
They are pouring oil to flames infinitely since the current gen, I'm mostly curious about the sales of BoZ, reviews and the game itself.

I really miss the times, when I saw trailer for Budokai 1, and was like WOW! After playing games on Super Famicon and those usually bad PS1 ones. Then I read announcement about sequel later and was looking forward it and so happy,
and this trend continued even with Budokai Tenkaichi series. But since current gen, my reaction is usually: ''Well, what they will screw up now?''

I have a bad feelingthat we won't get Super Saiyan Grade 2 Vegeta... :?
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

No DLC is not a scam...when done right. Yes there are companies that abuse this power but most will go out of their way to ensure the money is spent is worth while. And in many cases it is. For example Naughty Dog has just announced that they will be going back to make a new extended chapter for the Last of Us. They are getting every one back together(actors and such) post production to build something new for fans. Borderlands 2 did a similar thing by building 3 additional missions(one inspired by Skyrim I believe) months later. It's not always a scam, but what these guys are doing isn't exactly the right way to go about it.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

Sincerely, being it on me, I would focus on making good and complete game with no DLC as fans are pissed off (Look sometimes on European Bandai FB profile, those people-fans are shameless angry animals.... )
and if the game was good, make some additional characters, like some movie characters or such. I think that Injustice DLC packs are totally awesome and Netherrealm is doing it right since the last MK.
But making game, that is uncertain after long line of fails and pushing people to preorder it as they will obtain characters as DLC is downright shameless and rude.... I won't repeat myself about how DLC's in DB games work again.

Namco Bandai for Ultimate Tenkaichi featured a great cover yet for this one it just seems like they gotten lazy and decided to not put much effort into it.

Version 1:

Version 2:

But well, I guess I'd have to go with Version 1 cover as it's clean, organised, decent and no characters were randomly thrown around as it is on Version 2. Anyhow, here's hoping that it's reversible so both covers are included but if not, then no biggie.
