Brave Soldier is definitely a welcomed upgrade as the first one was pretty much a Dynasty Warriors clone sadly, and this is based on 3D fighting, still unsure how deep the combat system will be.

If Dimps can master 3D fighting (behind the shoulder or such) then Spike can bugger off for all eternity.

It seems like a great evolution of The Hades on PS2, from what I've seen, which seems great. If they were to make a ground-based 3D fighter for just Dragon Ball, it could be awesome.

Senki for PS3 was done by Dimps, but we were discussing the game on seiya forums and Brave Soldier is different studio, not Dimps. Only that I don't remember now which one is it.

Wow really! I will try to find that discussion, because some people were pissed from to few characters, considering it is second game on PS3, but it's actually newly developed game, first one.
Lot of people criticized Senki, so if this is really Dimps, they started with different gameplay. But it's true that some models look simmilar to Senki.

From what's been shown of Brave Soldiers, the gameplay is similar to Naruto Storm 3 and it's all newly composed music, none of the original from the series.

Dimps or CC2 could definitely make an exciting new proper DBZ game unlike Artdink.

It definitely would be exciting to see Cyberconnect2 make yet another laughably unplayable fighting game.

I don't know, everyone seems to be generally happy with the new Jojo game. With that said, I'd never buy a Dragon Ball game if it had Fukuda Chikayo's music.
Let's be serious, Dimps could definitely make a great new Dragon Ball fighting game, given the time and money.

Slightly off-topic, I think that Hades game on PS2 was pretty bad one. It didn't covered the whole story, only new actual characters there were Three Undeworld Judges, Gemini Kanon and Lyra Orpheus.
But it's true that the fighting system was improved, but I felt that Sanctuary was more complete game and it did the Sanctuary arc complete justice and fanservice.
And I'm still pissed off that they've written off Poseidon arc, so I have high hopes for Brave Soldiers.

If everyone was happy with Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle, how come the game has a 2 out of 5 stars on Amazon.jp after 1543 reviews? Better yet, how come the price has collapsed from ¥7,980 to ¥2,650 in less than a month? Because everyone is not happy with Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Outside of having a somewhat broken fighting system (plus an unbalanced roster), and having a story mode that just consists of text crawls, the game employs some monetization features that would make Capcom jealous that they didn't think of it first. There's a mode in ASB that would remind you a free to play smartphone game in that it employs a cool down period where you either don't play for a number of minutes, or you can pay real money. It also has some characters you'd expect to be in the base game as DLC, either as a pre-order incentive, or something you buy on PSN. Yeah, I totally want these guys making Dragon Ball games.

Oh? That's...not that surprising, actually. I just thought that, since I hadn't heard much about it, it had been well recieved and was actually good. But, yeah, that sounds like a CC2 game these days. Since they did Asura's Wrath with Capcom, they seem to have taken some lessons from them. Namco Bandai's right there with 'em.

I'd love for Dimps to be given a few years and a crap-ton of money to make an awesome DB fighting game. But, at this point, I don't think we're ever gonna have THE Dragon Ball game that everyone would love to death.

Anyone know what Dimps is working on after Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers?

Probably finishing up whatever's going on with Ultra Street Fighter IV, is my guess.

That sounds about right considering it's coming out in 2014 and there's still time to improve the game wherever needed (if it still has any bugs after so many versions). Kinda strange how it's an exclusive to current-gen consoles only when they could make money off the next-gen systems too (PS4, Wii U, Xbone) but the main audience relies on the current-gen.

I suppose Street Fighter V is planned later on for the next-gen consoles.
