Tenkaichi 3 - How can I change the BGM?

Post by DBZGTKOSDH » Tue Oct 01, 2013 11:42 am

I have ripped my .iso file from the PS2 disc, and I've found a Japanese .iso. How can I switch the BGM to the Japanese one? If no one knows, does anyone know in which sites I can find out how?

Extra: I also want to add the Japanese theme of the Super DBZ opening to Super DBZ.

But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

I have once tried walking that same path. I ended up simply buying Sparking Meteor. It seems to be much easier to do with the Wii versions, and just not worth the trouble on the PS2 at all.

If you're going through all that trouble, chances are you don't actually need the english text and can work your way around the menus.

The thing is, I've gone through all the trouble to unlock all the characters twice so far (1 for Wii version, and 1 for PS2 version), and I don't want to do that again! Never again!

So, I would prefer to try & change the BGM by myself, and learn something new on top of that.

As Rukura before you, I also went into trying to change the BGM in the game via data swap, but also ended by the easiest solution possible. Bought Sparking! Meteor.

There's ISO(s) on the internet with the task already done for PS2 and Wii, obviously I can't post links here but just search on Google and you'll find it ("tenkaichi 3 japanese music wii" / or ps2).

Wii has to be one of the easiest consoles to hack, it literally took no effort at all. I just did it as a test and then reverted back to normal (all my Wii games are authentic copies).
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:

Well, considering it sounds like you legally own the game - and must have a modded ps2 in order to play a burn anyway, which I'm assuming you'd be making - why do the work for yourself? I'm sure you can find an already modded .iso online. I ... could swear I did myself once, but now I can't find it :/
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
I know this topic is 2 months old, but I successfully swapped the BGM in both BT1 and BT3 for the Sparking and Sparking METEOR soundtrack respectively. The ISOs you find online have random Kikuchi music from what I've seen.

I know I can't give you an .ISO file on here, but I wonder if the mods would be okay with me can giving you the .AFS file with the swapped sound files and the program to implement it on your .ISO.

I'm sure you know you'd need a modded PS2/PS3 to play or a pretty good PC to emulate it.

Semi-unrelated note: If anyone knows how to unpack a non-CD-Image Binary file, I could use the help. Need it to undub Tenkaichi Tag Team.

Don't mind, I succeeded in doing so as well! :)

I was thinking about this, but I might just buy the JPN version.
