The text up there clearly states Super Saiyan Vegeta (超サイヤ人 ベジータ). It just so happens that all the character models in the game are very stout looking. We're getting Vegeta, Super Saiyan Vegeta and Maoji Vegeta. Super Saiyan grade II didn't seem to make the cut, no idea about his normal Super Saiayn 2 form yet...JeffJarrett wrote:So there is no regular Super Saiyan Vegeta in this game?!

We should have Super Vegeta instead of CG base Gohan.

They said that the game won't have a big roster because it's their first game & they don't have time. I understand that. The have characters like Saibaiman, Freeza Soldier, and Cell Jr. because they are multiple characters (many Saibaimen, many Freeza Soldiers, many Cell Jr.'s), so they can have them on a team to fill blanks in story mode. However, CG base Gohan doesn't have any place here since they want to focus on important characters (he never fought), and in-game transformations are not in this game (fuck you devs), so having a very important character like Super Vegeta in his place would be much better.Saiga wrote:We should have a lot of things instead of other things. They aren't wrong, but I wouldn't take their list as an infallible source either. They have Vegeta listed for both the Saiyan and Freeza Arcs, but everything points to that being an actual costume switch. Especially since another base Vegeta wasn't listed on the character list on the game's official website.SSJ6Goku wrote:Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z Characters <--- no Super Vegeta. The website may not include everything we currently know about just yet, but there is a method to their madness. The website generally updates by arc, and looking over the character list, there isn't much room left. I don't see any of the open slots left going to Saiyan, Freeza or Cell Arc characters. So if Freeza Arc Vegeta isn't on the list now, I don't see him being put on there in the future. The remaining slots will likely go to characters from the Buu Arc or maybe a movie or two (Coola was hinted after all).SSJ6Goku wrote:I hope your right, but the official site is outdated. they don't even have Buu or Bills listed as confirmed and those two are shown on the front page. Four years is not enough to get everything done? Well, gameplay + graphics (check!) + design (check!) + story, as for Music/VAs they don't have to worry about that.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:They said that the game won't have a big roster because it's their first game & they don't have time.
ARTDINK has been a game developer since 1986 so they should be able, besides, this isn't really a new game considering it's similar to their previous ones with the addition of 4v4 character on-screen.
Saying that they couldn't have in-game transformations is bullshit because they could very well. One transforms and the others fight the opponent, tadah.

Re: "DBZ: Battle of Z" (360/PS3/Vita) On-Going Discussion Th
There you have Batman Arkham Series..... Not sure about the first one, but each installment is made on two year basis. I know that you can't compare huge studios like Rocksteady or Warner, but for Christ sake, I don't understand how anyone can defend silly fighter with few characters: ''Two years, yeah, but it's the first game!''
I don't fucking care! It will cost almost the same money as new Batman, this shit! Since XBOX 360, I waited half a year for price drop, before I bought RB2, because these games aren't worth even half the price they are selling for.
I'm sorry to be rude, but you can't advocate shitty product only because it has Dragon Ball slapped on it, it doesn't work this way. I can't imagine any non-franchise series having made this much mess and still running. I will wonder if anyone will be still buying DB games on big consoles, as the handheld teritory is doing the series greater justice.

In terms of the actual game in Battle of Z I'm not really interested, but the anime scenes look pretty cool if that's something new like an OVA/Film (or short-film) then it could be worth purchasing.MCDaveG wrote:There you have Batman Arkham Series..... Dave, not to be critical but I've been playing Arkham City on my Wii U (also own it for the 360) and the gameplay is almost like on the first game and I was expecting that but it's just repetitive. I decided to go back to W101 to finish it and then back to AC. I'll have to say that I've enjoyed more Arkham Asylum than Arkham City but I might change my opinion in the future.

a lot of companies like to use the "If it aint broke, dont fix it" approach. Thing is that approach is dangerous in its own right. Yeah its fun at first but then it becomes repetitive but hey, as long they sell and they get their money then why should they care? I personally cant stand that mindset.dbboxkaifan wrote:In terms of the actual game in Battle of Z I'm not really interested, but the anime scenes look pretty cool if that's something new like an OVA/Film (or short-film) then it could be worth purchasing.MCDaveG wrote:There you have Batman Arkham Series..... Re: "DBZ: Battle of Z" (360/PS3/Vita) On-Going Discussion Th
Well, I may be little biased as a huge Batman fan, but it's true that Asylum is quite complex game and Arkham City is actually the same game, but with expanded weaponry and little tweaked combat system, but I enjoyed City more because of some interesting boss fights and also, there was ton of new content and completely different environment which required quite work. I loved the details of the city and I really believed that the part of the city was actually beatyful in far away times. But with Dragon Ball, the character design are quite simple and same goes for the ''bland'' arenas. This type of development quite worked with Budokai Tenkachi/Sparking Series, where it was downright same, but they expanded upon the engine with characters and such.dbboxkaifan wrote:In terms of the actual game in Battle of Z I'm not really interested, but the anime scenes look pretty cool if that's something new like an OVA/Film (or short-film) then it could be worth purchasing.MCDaveG wrote:There you have Batman Arkham Series..... That's a thing that I completely don't understand with these games. Actually not that difficult, but the outcome is awfull. I can also understand really low budget and actual work lasting half a year with breaks, because we actually don't know if they really worked on it for two years. I don't believe that they were (not to mention Gohan's Gi being Krillin's reskin instead of new model
They should've made some interesting and inovative story mode scenes in-game rather, than tossing away few video works on animators in Phillippines. My opinion only.
I will wait for you guys to buy this game and if it's any good, I will jump onto bandwagon.
