Favorite Kaioken?

For some reason, it seems that every time Goku uses the Kaioken, it's tied to a moment of major drama. So, what is your favorite instance of Goku using the Kaioken technique, and why?

For me, it would be his X20 Kaioken against Freeza. Nothing creates feel-good drama in a fight quite like a sudden second wind from the hero after you think he's down for the count. The sheer emotion behind Goku's words and screams for that Kaioken (performed masterfully by both Nozawa and Schemmel if we're talking about Kai), not to mention that it was grounded in a motivation to save his family and friends, never fails to bring a smile to my face. The music--for both the original Kikuchi placement and the Yamamoto score--was also perfectly synced to the emotionality of what was happening on screen.

This one scene (and the first three Z movies in general) singlehandedly converted me to the original back when I was a freshman in high school.

I agree with all the Kaioken X3 against Vegeta talk. The scream is terribly epic on Nozawa's part, and to make it better is Vegeta's look of fear before Goku socks him. Simply, in the words of Yajirobe, awesome.

The Kaioken aura also makes the coolest noise...I prefer it's "scream/whistling" noise to the "wish wish wish" noise of the SSJ aura.

Agreed about the Yamamoto score. That scene was one of the more notable casualties of the Kikuchi-Kai mix.

Apologies for the bump, but i was gonna make a thread on this then saw this one existed. For me it would be when Goku uses the attack against Turles in the edited Saban dub (mainly because of the awesome music)

Definitely the Kaioken x 20 against Frieza. Goku has probably never felt such despair up until that point. He was completely outclassed, and any remote chance of victory was hastily countered by the tyrant's unrivaled power.

Definitely one of the best, but there's one weird thing about the music here. It fits the tension of the scene and all, but isn't that Freeza's theme @ 1:37?

The Kaioken x20 in the original japanese dub.The Kikuchi track at the beginning helps convey that this is Goku's last attempt at damaging Freeza and that he's risking it all; the silence right after gives the scene a greater impact and makes it much more memorable, where we can only hear Nozawa's absolutely fantastic screams. When the Kamehameha is fired, the soundtrack helps cement that it's indeed a struggle and maybe, in fact, it's all hopeless.

x3 was good enough but my personal favorite is the x4 Kaioken. Goku can barely handle it and it is a desperate last ditch effort. The visuals just kill it. That one for me is perhaps the most memorable scene on their whole one-on-one fight.
