See, this is precisely part of the problem.ringworm128 wrote:Everything must be an in depth thesis, hail the arienne conversation race.
You're trying to be funny, but it's not funny. It doesn't add anything to the conversation, amusing or otherwise. It's barely commentary on the situation at hand. There are better ways to express what you're trying to say. Saying them in an in-depth way with actual thoughts and actual points would make your point valid and worth reading. As it is, it's just another annoying one-liner to scroll past that doesn't serve anyone except yourself and tosses you on a mental checklist of folks to continue to scroll past in the future. You can have fun with your posts. but you can also make worthwhile funny and relevant posts to make it actually worth someone's time to read. Isn't that better for everyone?
What AjayLikesGaming said basically sums it up. When I look at a forum - any forum out there - and see the same person's name down the list on the right having responded to nearly every open thread all in a row, I pretty quickly jump to the conclusion that they probably don't have anything worth adding, because you can't have anything worth adding if you've typed so many things in a row in such a short time, and I just click "Mark All Read" because it's not worth my time.
