It would be nice to see an enemy that might not be as strong as Goku and the gang, but has some kind of technique or skill that puts he or she above them in some way, like maybe they deflect all ki attacks by warping reality around them, or something of the sort. Perhaps they manipulate ki in a different way that Goku and the gang had never thought of, or have complete control of matter itself. Something that will really throw the Z senshi a curve, because even as tactical as they might get from time to time, they're used to doing things one way, pretty directly. It would also be cool if a secondary or tertiary character, like Muten Roshi, would help them understand that way.

He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

I always liked the thought of someone using their ki like landmines. Sending out blasts but with the ability to remotely control when they explode.penguintruth wrote:It would be nice to see an enemy that might not be as strong as Goku and the gang, but has some kind of technique or skill that puts he or she above them in some way, like maybe they deflect all ki attacks by warping reality around them, or something of the sort. I miss villains like the Ginyu Force, who actually had unique skills that weren't simply about brute power. Characters like Guldo were underexploited. Lots of early DB villains also.

You know, if Yamcha wasn't so...Yamcha-y, ki landmines would seem kinda like a logical next step of his Sokidan. Throw a giant version of the ball and have it burrow into the ground. After that, it could split into a bunch of smaller orbs that he controls for a bit so he can place them where he wants. When the enemy steps on one? Boom.
But then again, most characters learn to fly in the same arc where he debuts the original technique, so...kind useless? Like him? =P

Well, Piccolo had a ki blast that locked on it's target, right? The one he used on Goku in the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai? And also Freeza's pizza slicers who chased SSJ Goku.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:You know, if Yamcha wasn't so...Yamcha-y, ki landmines would seem kinda like a logical next step of his Sokidan. Yamcha could have made use of that in his ki blasts.

An Ivan Drago-esc villain that barely says anything. It would be something fresh for DB without being too over the top.
I really don't get the whole "Bilus looks stupid thing". This is the same series that has a fat chinese doll and old man as villains, a fat marshmallow dude as a villain not to mention other odd villains like Zarbon and Blue. Yet a purple cat is going too far?Personally found Birus/Beers as a joke. Pathetic character design. Some Pokemon & Cat-like Villain. Really Toriyama?

Broli screams Kakarot an awful lot, and he's pretty talkative in his first movie.penguintruth wrote:You just described Broly.ringworm128 wrote:An Ivan Drago-esc villain that barely says anything. It would be something fresh for DB without being too over the top.
Re: What type of villain do you want to see next?
It was only in the first third I think of that movie. Even so it's not the same as an enemy who could theoretically block their ki.DragonBoxZTheMovies wrote:The Destron Gas kinda did a similar thing, didn't it?dbzfan7 wrote:A ki blocker sounds awesome.TheGmGoken wrote:Now I serious want a bad guy who can disable ki. PenguinTruth took mine; anything that won't boil down to "The villain has more ki! We must kill him with more ki still!"

Anything but a clone of Broly, no personality, just screaming for fights, i don't want that. for me i would like to see a woman villain in the series. that would be refreshing to to it.

How about an anti-villain, with a legitimate grievance against the heroes? Like say someone whose family/species was wiped out by Vegeta when he used to work for Frieza, and he has been training ever since to get revenge on him?

No, I don't mean a guy who is generally evil and just wants to wipe out people indiscriminately, more like a guy who has a personal grudge against Vegeta and only cares about beating him. He could even meet the other characters first and get along with them with no signs of being hostile until he sees Vegeta.

Re: What type of villain do you want to see next?
How about somebody with a legitimate beef with Goku? Somebody whose family was perhaps wiped out by one of the many villains that have attacked Earth over the years and for some reason was unable to be wished back to life? Perhaps a guy whose planet was destroyed by Freeza on his way to Earth, which would have been spared had Goku had killed Freeza for certain on Namek? An astronaut whose spaceship was wiped out by a stray Kamehameha during Goku's training, perhaps.
Then again, we could get a whole Agrajag thing going. Some guy who keeps getting wished back to life but then dies from something Goku does, every time losing more of his sanity.
