Budokai 3 vs Infinite World
I have them pretty much equal. Each one has something I really like or dislike that the other doesn't.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

I think infinite world is much better(gameplay wise) but budokai 3s story mode is WAY better.dbzfan7 wrote:I have them pretty much equal. Each one has something I really like or dislike that the other doesn't.

Personally I give it to Infinite World. Gameplay and controls are much better and so is storymode (I think B3's storymode is fine ONCE but to go through it with each character got boring fast). B3 felt more complete as a package though.

It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.
Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.

Re: Budokai 3 vs Infinite World
IW is easier to learn the controls although it still requires skill to win the battles because the CPU isn't just going to allow you to win, it gets slightly harder when they go on the rage mode that allows them to beat the shit out of the opponent.
I like that IW is its own game although in today's standards it'd be an add-on for Budokai 3.

FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

I'd rather not bring back that thread with a certain user as the OP. Rather clean slate it.DBZ Mick wrote:http://www.kanzenshuu.com/forum/viewtop ... 1&t=24647- thread here made just a month ago.

Yeah, I've just learned that, but don't understand why. He seemed okay to me, yeah, maybe that he was topic making machine.budokaifanatic007 wrote:I think he got banned.MCDaveG wrote:Hey, what happened to Dr. Machismo? Haven't seen him around here lately
OK, so as I said before on topic and in short as I forgot most of my previous message. I like the Infinite World mostly because of the roster, story mode and minigames.
My most favorite character there is GT Vegeta probably.
And I also think that the gameplay improved a little to it's predecessor.

Re: Budokai 3 vs Infinite World
If anything, in terms of gameplay inprovements, SB2 shits all over these two, I really got disappointed when some of mechanics of SB2 weren't in IW, being the teleport special and the way struggles were done.
Besides that, IW feels way more complete than Budokai 3 will ever be, be it in terms of costumization, moves (which they still suck, just because they couldn't make a proper cutscene to every character doesn't mean you can give Volleys to them). I just miss my Tounament mode.

Re: Budokai 3 vs Infinite World
I actually am not fond of Budokai 3's story mode. Splitting it up into different characters was a bad idea, I think, because many things don't get explained adequately. The ability to change the story by going to different areas on the map was nice, but overall I don't think it was so good.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!
Re: Budokai 3 vs Infinite World
Infinite World is great, it has a lot of characters and fantastic graphics. The AI is really hard which sort of annoyed me at first but I got used to it and managed to find a way to work around the AI. Great customization and the minigames are fun too.

Re: Budokai 3 vs Infinite World
I found AI in Budokai 3 harder. I really can't manage to do Tournament on harder modes than novice. I probably suck at that game, but hey, I really beat the s**t out of Infinite World on all difficulties, so I don't know, what my problem is.AlexFili wrote:Infinite World is great, it has a lot of characters and fantastic graphics. Re: Budokai 3 vs Infinite World
Since playing IW, I see no reason for me to deem Budokai 3 as a superior product at all.
- Infinite World has more characters
- More costumes
- Able to freely use supers in combos. No more stupid PPPPE, or having to use supers in certain parts of chains.
- Ultimate Guard. Helps protect against melee, supers, and ultimates at a heavy ki cost.
-Better AI(from my view)
- No dumb Hypermode. Hypermode was a mode that drained all of your ki and left you fatigued at the end. Opening you up to a cancel combo. You couldn't use your special unless you were in hypermode. In infinite world , you have similar mode that drains KI and while using this does open you up to a combo(IE your ki is zero at the end) , it no longer fatigues you and leaves you right open. Best parts? Not only can you choose not to use it, but it isn't a pre requisite for the use of ultimates. In IW, you can use your ultimates regardless of whether or not you're in the mode.
- No Dragon rush, a system that relied on pure luck. Unnecessary long cutscene for something that isn't even guaranteed.
- Instant guard break attacks
- New chains and combos for characters
- Aura burst
- Aura burst punch
- Aura burst Gut stun
- Ki throw
-Better customization system by far. In b3 the only way to use all your transformations+moves+ultimate was to equip breakthrough, which took up everything. Dont even get me started on nonsense like kaioken, SSJ, SSJ2,SSJ3, SSJ4 taking up a seperate slot each. In Infinite World, you can add in custom items and your whole moveset. You can equip a transformation item and that item would include all the transformations your character has. And you can equip your Deathmoves, and ultimates, along with custom items. It's not even a contest. Infinite world has the superior customization system unless you prefer restriction
I have a hard time ever going back to B3 unless I want to look at picture text story modes with music, and a "free roam" that really isn't all that great. Infinite World has some good cutscenes, but unfortunately some of them were rushed and the person in charge of placing music left most of them silent like BL. Which I am honestly not a fan of and would gladly use my own music to make them better than the job that was done.

Re: Budokai 3 vs Infinite World
Both are great in my book. IW is better as a competitive fighter but I prefer B3 a little bit due to the fun story and level up system.
