Well if Goku was caught off guard, Itachi could win him over with Genjutsu. I mean Goku IS a simple minded buffoon when it doesn't come to fighting but when in combat, hes a genius so if Itachi tries using it in the middle of the fight, Goku will be all over him before he can blink.

Thing is though, once you look Itachi in the eyes, you're already caught in a Genjutsu. Itachi has been known to keep his Sharingan active almost always.

Plus, Goku doesn't attack on a mere whim or out of nowhere since he'd more than likely assess his opponent which would include looking him over to see what type of fighter he is, which would then come to him looking into his eyes probably wondering why they look so odd.

*cue Tsukoyomi* - 72 hours inside = 3 seconds in the real world if I remember correctly.

And if Goku is hit by Amaterasu... bye bye Goku.

Seeing as Itachi's Susanoo wore him out to the point of coughing blood, id say a Kamehameha would outright destroy it or put a inhuman tax on Itachi. Naruto guys arent super strong physically. Take away the Chakra and they are pretty much defenseless when it comes to physical combat.

And if we take SSJ4 into account...Goku doesn't need his eyes to fight.

True but do you think Naruto could take a bullet to the head or a stream of machine gun fire? Goku did that and more as a 12 year old with a power level below 100. I'm saying be default, the DBZ characters far surpass the Naruto characters in terms of durability. Plus, if we count Chakra and Ki as the same thing in a fight between them, Goku could indeed fight with his eyes closed and just use his other senses to focus on the enemy's Chakra.
