But, I got the Blu-ray and Soundtrack today and wanted to see how awkward a Chris Sabat-like Vegeta performance of the song would sound. It's hilariously awkward in a different way than the original Japanese is.

Thanks! I actually have a few clips planned with ConfusedPhantom, we're going to have multiple people doing it. Including this scene with a more proper, original take for Vegeta on it. I'll still be voicing Whis, (but everyone else will be other people/takes) which is just my natural voice with a slightly flamboyant/gentleman-esque sound required for Whis. Actually noticed my take on him worked when I dubbed that small clip that was released on the Japanese I-Tunes. Only reason Vegeta's tame in this clip is the fact that I'm only an okay singer at best, and that's kinda pushing it. Could definitely use some voice lessons to learn how to properly sing, but that's beside the point. It's that fact mixed with trying to do the Chris Sabat Vegeta impression on top of that leads to an iffy result. Plus, I dubbed the music part with the music only. Over explaining, but figured it'd be worth it to mention it.

I really cant wait to see how Sabat is gonna handle this. I mean I'm sure its nothing new for HIM, seeing as he does characters like Armstrong in FMA, but for the character of Vegeta...I really want a english dub of Battle of Gods now...

You and me both! He's great at comedic scenes and since Kai he's become an awesome Vegeta. I expect that he'll cast/direct/dub it the same way as Kai. I hope J. Michael Tatum does the script adaptation too.

I think Tatum could do excellent as both Bills AND Whiss. He does William in Romeo X Juliet and its absolutely hilarious. Yeah, I could see him in both. Prior to Battle of Z showing the preview of Beerus/Whis (Jason Douglas and Ian Sinclair, odds are they'll be the voices in the actual movie dub too) I thought J.Michael Tatum would've been a great choice for Beerus. I would say Whis too, but prior to that clip you showed me of Romeo x Juliet. I thought him doing Whis would just end up sounding like his Zarbon. Which isn't a problem per se, just you'd wanna avoid repeating the same voice in a dub of a show that's technically the same. Despite it being a new version. But, after the quality of script writing he did for the Freeza arc, I would like to see him do the script for the movie, he can adapt it to where it's conveys the original's intent very well and none of the campiness of the original DBZ dub scripting had problems with.

Tatum does have a flexible voice range, just like Colleen Clinkenbeard and Chris Sabat. I could have sworn Troy Baker was doing Bills, going off his voice in the Battle of Z trailer. I kept hearing Greed Possessed Ling Yao from FMA Brotherhood.

But, people started saying Jason Douglas and I swore I heard him in other things. I did, One Piece, etc. but also in Kai actually. He's also King Cold in Kai. Different voice, tone, but I can tell it's the same guy. Although I guess trying to become a voice actor. Listening to a bunch of voice actors/actresses, if I've heard them enough I can pick them out. Even with someone like Schemmel, even if it's a non Goku like voice. I can still pick up it's him. Did Detective Richard Moore from Detective Conan, Simon from the Gurren Lagann: Lagann-hen movie (only english voice in it XD), I MAY be doing Rigor in the DBNA animation, and I fandubbed Inuyasha for a few eps but eventually dropped that. Really wish I remembered where I stored the recordings, I may have actually lost them in a move.

Ah nice! Yeah, fandubbing is great practice. Plus, it helps with timing. I do hope to enter the professional realm one day in the next few years. But, I plan on saving up some money before heading out anywhere. Would rather be self-sufficient and build a better work ethic before seriously entering it. Although original projects like DBNA are good too. Pre-lay and dubbing both have their advantages in my opinion. I also realize voice acting isn't the highest paying thing out there. But, I want to enter the realm based on my love for it. Plus, it's good to do fan works before doing anything professional. If I compared the first fandubs I ever did to now, I have improved drastically. Even then, I still can get better. It's kind of like my equivalent to Goku with fighting. I seem to be great at it and love it, will always try to get better at it. But, even then, there will be people better than me too. So, what do you know, Dragon Ball influenced me more than I originally thought, haha. Unlike these fandubs though, I won't be voicing almost everybody/everybody if I were in the professional realm. Plus, I wouldn't have to worry about not fitting. Since nowadays most dubbing picks fitting actors for the roles.

That'd be pretty cool to see! The concept of your series' is pretty nice considering you have it set in an alternate universe. Although Kental as character the biggest impression I got of him was from the drawing you asked Scarz to make, haha. Hopefully there'd be someone willing to animate DBSW. I'm not bad at drawing myself. But, I wouldn't have the patience to animate fully. I have a fan-manga idea of my own, but I feel like I should draw it pre-computer before making a final version. Not bad at drawing on the computer, it just takes time. (Sorry for the random topic shifts, but it's all pretty interesting to me.)

I know what you mean. DBSW will likely take two more years or so before its done and ready to draw. Me and the team want everything set in stone before we find a artist. Still working on designs, plot elements, script. I have over 1000 photos taken of me and my friends fighting each other so they may be used as bases for the fight scenes.

That seems to be a great approach to the fights. I would probably use the pre-existing media as a basis but change it enough so it's not so obvious, but that's what a lot of fan-artists tend to do and usually people can still tell where it came from. Although in my fan-series, it'll probably be more gag and pre-Z Dragon Ball like with less fights. Not to say there's no fights. But, I'm not the best at drawing fights. But, the dedication you have to planning DBSW is awesome!

Well, if everything about it sucks we want people to say "well at least the fights were good". I will say they will be brutal. Limbs will be broken and severed, holes blasted through bodies, blood will fly. They will look like they hurt and hurt a lot, I want emphasis on that as much as possible.

True, I own every volume of Berserk released in the states and to this day I have yet to see a manga top its content. DBSW wont be Berserk level violent, but it will be DBZ manga level if not a little bit more. Have you seen some of the colored Kanzenban images? Characters are nearly coated with blood sometimes.
