Tenkachi HD Collection?

Post by Gogeta8001 » Sat Oct 19, 2013 10:39 pm

Do you think they should release an HD collection for the Tenkachi games like they did for the Budokai ones?

If they do, which of the 3 should be apart of the collection? IMO, Tenkachi 2 should be in it for it's awesome music/story mode/what ifs and Tenkachi 3 for it's amazing gameplay.

I do infact believe that they should release a Tenkaichi Collection. And if it were to be released, I would like

Tenkaichi 2

Tenkaichi 3

Tenkaichi Tag Team.

A bonus would be online play for all of them, but that would be me being alittle too hopeful. Of course, if they didn't have online, then I'll just stick to playing T2+T3 on the PS2 emulator, and Tenkaichi Tag Team on the PSP emulator.

Edit: Or Tenkaichi 1, but only because of some of the what if's in the game. They were...interesting in my opinion

I say BT1, BT3, and Tag Team should be included. I'd imagine at least BT3 would have online, because it did on the Wii.

Why not 2? it had the best story.

They should but won't because if they did no-one would buy their new games.

I think they should, but I don't think they would.

Namco Bandai a while ago said "Not scheduled" so don't get your hopes up.

If people really want Tenkaichi 2 HD or Tenkaichi 3 HD use a PS3 60/80, Wii U or the PCSX2/Dolphin emulators. It's definitely far better than what you'd get from an HD Collection.

I figured that, if they ever did this, they'd do the same thing as the Budokai collection. I love the BT2 story, too, but having BT1/BT3 would better show off how far the series came since it's beginning.

Only reason why they didn't put Budokai 2 in the Collection was because it wasn't as Iconic as Budokai 1 and Budokai 3. Now ALL of the tenkaichi games are iconic

Budokai 2 is the least favorite Budokai game by most fans and the first Budokai was likely throw into the collection because it was the game's 10th anniversary at the time. Budokai 1 is the reason why we keep on getting DBZ games yearly. I personally think the collection should have BT3 and Tag Team.

If you've played BT3 on Wii, you'd know that online mode was barely online with that netcode. Besides that, it's probably not a great idea to assume if one of the original releases had online play, that a ported re-release would automatically retain it. As HD re-releases are often seen as a budget project, many of the games that have originally had an online mode, have had them removed in the HD release. You can't just port netcode from three very different machines such as the Wii to the PS3, and 360. It costs money, and time, which is what a lot of these HD restoration projects don't get. Additionally, most of these HD re-releases base their code on the PS2 version, as Sony has provided third parties tools to port PS2 content to PS3. Notice how the Budokai HD Collection used the PS2 version of the first Budokai? Well, BT3 never had an online mode on PS2.

The first game is pretty terrible, and the two direct followups are almost indistinguishable from each other. Iconic? I think not.

The first game introduced the series and the style. THe second one had the story mode. The Third had the gameplay and roster. Tag Team had...tag team

Other then the story mode in the second BT game, what else about it is worth playing. I can see them doing BT3 and Tag Team because BT3 is the most popular with fans and HD collections have been know to put PSP games in the collection. I doubt we will get a Sparking/Tenkachi collection anytime soon unless there's a big fan demand for it. I think one of the reasons why we got the Budokai collection is to cash in on the nostalgia and Budokai 1 started the yearly DBZ game trend for the past 10 years. The HD collection was a nice anniversary gift for fans.

I would rage if they released a Tenkachi HD Collection without Tenkachi 2. Tenkachi 2 had the best soundtrack and the best story mode IMO.

If all they did was release Tenakchi 2 and 3, I would be happy. I don't really care for Tenkachi 1.

My computer's GPU/Specs suck lol. I can hardly run anything on it (other than FFX/FFX-2 which is an exception).

Tenkaichi 1 was completely atrocious it felt like an incomplete game moreso as a Beta for the public to try out.

Anyway, I tried out Tenkaichi 3 on my PS3 60GB and in terms of graphics it looks great though with jaggie lines but otherwise it's all nicely very detailed and much better looking than on my PS2. PS3 60GB saves me from buying HD Collections which could be more or less the same thing. I'm now on Freeza's arc already and planning to unlock all characters but specifically Gogeta SSJ4 with Costume 2 (that looks awesome to me!).

The first Sparking/BT game was mediocre. Some of the what if's were cool like Super Perfect Cell vs. Super 17 while some of them made no sense like Fat Buu vs. Janemba.
