Gohan is only stronger because of he has the Ultimate state, which isn't a Saiyan state. In base/SS/SS2, Goku is stronger than Gohan, so he should be stronger than him in Super Saiyan God as well. So, he can't beat Beers.

Gohan base is weaker than Goku. SSG isn't Mystic plus(or times) SSG. A better fight would be Gotenks(Assuming Pan and Bra are alive) vs Birsu

The fusion would probably last like 5 seconds though.....

How about this: Super Saiyan God Gohan (assuming half Saiyans can go SSJG) vs. Bills instead of Goku. Since Gohan was stronger before the transformation could he have a better chance of winning?
Post-Z sword SS2 Gohan was implied to be close to Fat Buu. SSG Gohan completely murders Beers.

Gotenks murders Beers much quicker, then blows up Whis for kicks.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

And why is that? SS3 Gotenks lasts for 5 minutes because Super Saiyan 3 drains everything after 5 minutes. Super Saiyan God lasts for 7 minutes, and if by any chance Gotenks could manage to absorb the power, the Fusion should last for 30 minutes. But still, 7 minutes should be enough IMO.

Id still say Goku takes it. Gohan only surpasses Goku after achieving Mystic form and before Battle of Gods.

I don't see Gohan significantly stronger. SS2 Goku wins.

Despite Kaioshin and Gohan's desperate attempts to rationalize the Z-Sword's existence, Gohan wouldn't have gained anything from training with it aside from some moderate physical "arm strength" as noted. Goku is more than likely still stronger even at SSJ2.

There a difference between letting a attack go through you(Because you know you can regenerate) and barely living.

Boo is much more sensitive to attacks than normal people on his level. Which is why he can regenerate.

I agree on the part that Boo lets the attacks to hurt him, but I don't believe that , say, Pure Boo is as durable as Super Saiyan 3 Goku.
