Oozaru Bardock is a little random, but it's cool to have all of Bardock's forms in the game.
SparkyPantsMcGee wrote:I like his Super Saiyan 2(especially in that image above) and would like to see some more promo art with it in it. Though, I understand why they don't.
Super Saiyan 2 isn't Goku's most iconic form, and it's not very different form his Super Saiyan form.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

So, now that we know the date... anyone want to guess when we'll be getting this on US shores? Though I'd like it to come out the same week... I'm guessing we'll be getting it anywhere from a week to a month later than the Japanese release, given how some of the earlier Spike games were released.
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

I think we could get it a week later, but I think February is likely for a US release.

IIRC, haven't we gotten the past few Console games before Japan? Or even most of them? So it's possible we may get this anywhere from a week to a month before Japan (Leaning more towards the "week" option, though...)

Not sure if this has been posted before, but heres another magazine scan showing Metal Cooler (likely another giant character) to the left.

EDIT - Also, a Japanese version of the trailer we got that was narrated by Chris Sabat.

23rd January 2013 is the release date for Japan? That is rather an odd month for a DBZ game to be released.

By the way, the cover doesn't look very good.

Image

It would have been better if they left in just Birus & Super Saiyan God Goku than a bunch of thrown around characters just to fill up the cover. :|

Remove Broli, Trunks, Vegeta, Cell, Gohan, Cell, Freeza & Goku then you have a decent cover.

I heard that trailer before. It's narrated by the Kaiji narrator in addition to Goku.

Looks great with all of them. It's a team battle game, that's what the cover indicates.

Funny how Goku is on the cover 3 times lol, I still like none the less.

I can see this game going the Tenkaichi route in the future... Oozaru Bardock is definitely shades of Tenkaichi 2 & 3.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Yep. BoZ cover is pretty bad but it's slightly better than this one:

Although the artcover of SLW CD Soundtrack looks rushed and unoriginal I have it on pre-order because the score of the game is beautiful, plus it includes music from Sonic 06 to SLW so there's a ton of awesome tunes packed in.

Another year, another Sonic game to drag the franchise through the mud.

What are you talking about? SLW is a solid game for Sonic's future releases.

If you're going to trust IGN, GameSpot and other idiotic reviewers then you'll believe that it's a poorly made game.

People also hated Wonderful 101 want to take a guess why?

Looking at the VJump pages; Metal Cooler looks creepy, Beers model looks cuter than he did in the movie (where conversely Whis' model looks kind of off; I think it has to do with where his face is placed on his head compared to how he looks in the movie).
On hiatus.

Lolno. This game is actually receiving a lot of praise. Only IGN and Gamespot are bitching about it, but that's to be expected. Honestly, Sonic has been doing quite well since Sonic Colors.

Not to get even more off topic but Sonic colors and SLW sucked imo. Oh well. BUt let's keep talking about BOZ okay? Don't want the cops(Admins/Mods) to say anything

I'll readily admit, Sonic Lost World seems pretty underwhelming in comparison to Sonic Generations and Sonic Colors, but Sonic Colors was great. It's one of my favorite Sonic games honestly. However, yes we should stay on topic  .
